Still having issues

Ok so one more question. I have a bunch of stuff left over from mixing my supersoil including epsom salt. Could that be used to acidify the soil? Looking at my options before buying more stuff…Thanks!

Nevermind…gotta find some sulphur.

$30/lb is kinda steep IMO. Jeez.

Where I get mine. It’s $15 for a pound. That will last you for years to come.

I have a $5 off coupon for new customers. If you want? Just tag me for it.

Don’t take my word for it. I’ve helped another member, who now uses it.

Hey @RAP What do you think of it? It being BaS wettable sulfur.

I have the wettable from BAS also and have used it 2 times per your instruction and very happy with it so far. I was actually thinking of a low dose of it this weekend in the veg room.

My sulfur should arrive so now what do I need to do prior to adding it? Do I need to know run-off or anything? These are 3 plants each in 10 gallons grow pots.

I’d take a couple tsp and top the pots and then water it in. Wait a week and run a slurry test. Wait another week and run another slurry test to check progress.

Ok should I be PHing the water after I top-dress or leave as-is.

I don’t ever ph. That’s for people growing with salts (aka chemical fertilizers) cause those will kill the micro heard that controls your ph. Adding the sulfur will feed acid loving bacteria and in turn lower the ph for you. It does this on its own in non organic systems, but it’s faster and longer lasting with a thriving microbe population feeding off it.

@Budbrother
Do you recommend top dressing vs dissolving it in water then watering?

You top dress it. The sulfur is released down into soil by watering it in. I mix it with some compost and top.

Picked up some of this:

It says to mix per 100 sq./ft…
Okay…how do I convert that for 3 10 gallon fabric pots?

Idono I don’t use that brand.

Edit: It says dusting so I assume they mean to use as a pest and fungus control

Its 90% sulfur so itll still lower it over the next few weeks. Im going to flip them on 9/16 so I want to have all the issues out the way before then.

There’s natural sulfur that can be broken down by the microbes and converted to acid. And then there is sulfur that is unusable to the plants and microbes. This type will bind with the calcium in your soil. It’ll bond to make gypsum but in an unusable form.

I can’t help you. I only help with what I know

You’ve done enough lol thank you kindly.

I’d add a tsp and do as I said above. It’ll work or it won’t. Even the picture above lists it under fungicide.

I read somewhere sulfur is just a natural fungicide, elemental or not.
