Well, the deed is done. She’s dying faster than she’s ripening, so today she got the chop. Fortunately I can hang her in the tent with fans and filter on so she won’t stink the place up too much. Hanging her in the cellar could be dangerous with all the foot traffic we’ll get tomorrow night, as there’s a floor vent right at the front door and the smells are noticeable when things are drying down there!

Thanks @WilIy and @Dennis62 it feels good to be almost done. Another 4 or 5 days and she’ll get jarred and cured. The the real work begins, cleaning up the grow area!
And so far so good, no super stink in the house. The garage smells a little, but it was pissing rain last night so not many trick or treaters out, and the parents usually stay at the end of the driveways.

Well it’s been a great day so far. Started out by finding a 20 while walking Sheba this morning! Woohoo! Got the last coat of paint in the spare bedroom, removed al the tape and set up the new room! And started emptying the next room to paint.
Felt so good I thot what the hell, let’s have some tincture before the wife gets home from work! A tablespoon has been a very mellow buzz, but I really want to get a bit messed tonight! Probably 23 ml is what got poured, tablespoon and a half in a glass of OJ to kill the burn.
Just getting that warm feeling, glad we’re having leftover turkey for dins and Sheba has been fed…just hoping the woman had an ok day today too!
Oh yeah, tent is holding steady at 63/63, can’t get much better than that! Couple more days maybe? I’ll check tomorrow, maybe snip buds off branches at least.

Final tally on the last Vietnamese Black lady just came in…of nice smokable bud, 2 ounces. Got 3/4 oz of popcorn buds, and 2-1/2 oz of trim for edibles/tinctures/kief. Everything jarred and labelled, calling 2025 DONE!
Still have to clean up the tent and get rid of about 40 rootballs I’ve been collecting. Then we’ll see if I get an itching to start some autos…maybe some Black Mamba or some Zkittlez. I do want to start a CBD Cream & Cheese photo late January for sure. Don’t know if I can wait 3 months before growing something!

Yeah, got on a kick last year about buying seeds that will produce some colourful buds. Growing green weed gets routine, hence the Vietnamese Black runs this year. Also have some photo Black African Magic seeds, a 100% Sativa landrace out of the Congo. But if I sneak a run in before the CBD Cream and Cheese it’ll be an auto run.

Been out of commission for a few weeks, seems every time daughter and fam goes on holidays they come back with some bug and grandson can’t go to daycare when he’s sick…so we get him! And whatever else he has. Everything I catch eventually turns into pneumonia with me and lasts forever. Four weeks and still have a tickle in my throat at night that makes me sleep upright on the couch coughing up chunks. No blood anymore so must be getting better!
I haven’t been able to smoke or drink for 3 weeks. So yesterday morning I decided time to make some brownies! Pulled out a stick of cannabutter from the freezer and a bunch of decarbed kief I did last time I decarbed trim for QWET. Figured I should try the kief at breakfast in my smoothie, so got out my powder scales and weighed out 4 grains (1/4 gram) of kief and added it to the blender. About 120mg is my guess, and it hit like it! Stoned for the entire day! Nice and relaxed!
Making the brownies became on ordeal. I looked at the brick of butter and saw 8 lines on it, thought they were 1 oz cubes you could cut them into. Damn, recipe only asked for 1/2 cup, so I doubled everything else and made them in a 9x13 instead of an 8x8. Almost forgot to add the kief to the melting butter/chocochip bowl! Remembered in time before adding the rest. Getting really hard to function by this point.
This morning I looked at the butter mold…nope, those are 1/2 cup strips, not 1 cup! So I doubled everything else but the butter, no wonder they were so hard to mix at the end! Glad I added about 2500mg THC from the kief to the 300mg butter, cut the pan into 64 pieces, so might be about 40-60mg each brownie. And they are small! Last time they worked out to about 25mg each and they were way bigger! Almost had to eat 4 to get a buzz and that was too much chocolate! Two or 3 of these should do the trick this time. Kept 8 out and put the rest in the freezer, will probably try them tomorrow night. Still feeling spaced from yesterday!
Getting the itch to drop a bean or so, don’t think I can wait until mid-January. Looking at what folks have growing on is making me jealous! So soon folks, I should be back in the saddle, especially now this bug is finally losing its battle against me.

So last night figured it was time to try the brownies. I gave 5 to my SIL the other day for him to try sometime, so I had 3 still out of the freezer. Decided to start with 1 and a half before dinner. After about an hour, I knew I was mildly stoned, so my guestimate of 40 to 60mg each was close. Daughter texted me and said SIL just ate all 5! He is a chocolate fiend and snarfled them all! I laughed and said good luck with the melting mass on your couch!
After dins I thot I’d have the other half, ate that and then wondered what am I going to do with that last one? So I ate it too! Couple hours later they kicked in heavy…couldn’t move on the couch, got the profuse sweats for 20 minutes, then bliss after that! So yep, about 60mg each as I got way more stoned than when I had the 1/4gram of kief for breaky.
Had to text daughter today just to see how SIL managed last nite. I’m 180 and have a high tolerance, he’s 135 soaking wet and not used to edibles. Apparently he’s still “groggy”…I’ll call him later to get his opinion of the brownies! But now I know that 2 would be the ideal dosage for me. Still have over 50 cut up in the freezer, gonna last me a couple of months at least!
Looking back, I should have weighed the kief before putting it in the mix. Had my powder scales out, dumb not to measure. So never make edibles when you are already really baked is my take-away from this! Or at least measure everything beforehand!

So I did a thing last Monday when I was bored…dropped some beans!
Have 1 CBD Cream & Cheese and 4 Zkittlez autos for this round. Set them soaking for a long day, and when I went to transfer them to some paper towel, they had cracked! So quickly moistened some ProMix with lightly-nuted water and plant.
Today I went down and moved them into the “tent” in the cellar under the 240w COB light. They were out raised up off the concrete on a heating pad under a T5 light for the last 5 days, still raised so they don’t get cold toes!
Here they are under the dome, still 24-hour lighting. I did program my timer for 6on 2off, 3 x per day. I’ll plug that in next week or so.
Here’s the CBD Cream and Cheese, popped up a day or so ago.
Three of the Zkittlez popped up after 2 days. The 4th, when the seed cracked, it had exploded out of its shell! It was still all white and the cotyledons were opening up outside of the husk. I planted it but didn’t think it would make it as there was some broken germ in the husk still, figured it lost some stored food.
But here she is! Just poked thru today!
The plan for these? The Zkittles will stay down in the cellar, might get 3 gallon pots, probably only 2 gallon tho. Don’t want them to get too big. The Cream and Cheese photo will get transplanted into an autopot with air pump hooked up, and get the 4x4 to herself. Let her get nice and big before flipping. She will also be the source of my next indoor clones, and clones for friends and relatives.
Feels good to be back in the saddle, don’t think I’ll take a month off again!

Just went down and plugged the light into the timer. No longer going 24/7, in 3 hours it goes dark for 2, then begins the 6on, 2off life. This helps keep the temps warm and consistent. With the light about a foot above the dome, it’s been 25C/77F and 72%rh.
Hehe, you can even see I replaced my Amazon flooring this round!

And the C&C girl is doing well. Can sure see the humidity drop when you take the dome off! Dropped from 73% to 49% in about 3 minutes! Good for the veg stage tho when they are ready for transplant. Next week.

I swear those Zkittlez grow by the hour! Touching the sides and top of the dome, time to transplant them! Don’t want to stunt them either by letting these autos get rootbound. Mixed up some ProMix with a batch of warm nuted water, made molds from the pots they were in, and done in an hour!
CBD Cream and Cheese girl gets the autopot. Still have my tie-down twine tied around the edges, I actually plan on LST’ing this one and letting her veg large.

I drilled 8 holes around each lip of the 2 gallon pots earlier as well, 5/32" bit drilled up from underneath. Can either poke wire LST wire thru them or run twine if I need additional tie-downs. Probably not for these autos tho.

Update time! Ladies are 22 days old, with the shell-shedder being 20 days (top left plant). It’s cool down here, temps are around 60F and rh is 45%. We’ve had a cold (for us) dry spell for 2 weeks, but are now back in our warm rain systems for this time of year. That little bud heater in the metal bucket has been going non-stop since they went in the “tent”.

Some nice branching starting to form. Might raise the light a bit to encourage some more vertical out of them, but I am limited for height down here so don’t want them all to grow up too fast!
Spent a few hours the other day prepping the tent. Cleaned out all the dead leaves, sprayed everything down with a mild bleach solution, rehung the light. Thinking of moving the driver into the tent for additional heat, at night the garage can drop into the low 40’s right now. We’ll see what it’s like when she gets evicted from the cellar.

Did a bit more cleanup in the tent upstairs yesterday. Moved the driver inside the tent, put the air pump back in there as well. My carbon filter is old, bought it in 2021, so I ordered a new AC Infinity filter. Should be here in a week, and that’s when I’ll fire the tent up and move them upstairs.
Oh, I also topped that one Zkittlez just above the 6th node. Yeah, greedy, but the branches on that on seem strong, so 12 colas it will be!
In a few days I’ll do the other 3 (shell hopper split her main on her own and might not need topping). Don’t know how many sets I’ll leave, probably 5 each.
Oh yeah, the brownies! Almost done, one more helping left in the freezer! I guess you build a tolerance up pretty quickly with edibles. I seem to at least. When I first made them I got high off 1-1/2 brownies, just wrecked off of 3. Soon 3 would give me a nice mellow glow, no real heavy high. Got to the point where I could eat 4 brownies, not tell the wife, and she wouldn’t be able to tell I ate them! Still just a nice mellow buzz. So I’m up to 5 at a time.
Really like the edibles, not just for the mellow body buzz, but for the couple of days after. Still feel “contentment” for a couple of days after. Still have half a bottle of tincture too. Wife doesn’t like me doing that tho, seems to hit all at once. Guess the alcohol hits the liver and gets processed right away compared to the edibles getting digested in the stomach first. And I’m up to 3 tablespoons of that instead of 3 teaspoons. Inflation!

I still smoke the same even when I do edibles. Becomes a routine…take Sheba out for a morning walk after coffee, take the vape pen. Ditto for her afternoon walk. Smoke 2 joints at 8pm after Jeopardy! and then another at 10ish, another just before bed. Sometimes slip one in in the afternoon or before dins as well, but been doing this since we got the pup 2 years ago!
Weekends are better with hockey on the tube. Have just enough time to smoke a J between periods, double-header Saturdays are a blast!
