the rain (once in June and once in August) with cold damp fog mornings is causing rot, big time.. Mornings are too wet (in this drought) .Moving my one Auto Jack Herr indoors (into tent) for night time lighting and afternoons outdoors. no fun moving the plant. Stay vigilant on the rot irradication.
Wow! Last day or two it’s like fall in Cellar Dweller land! Half of the plants have taken on a yellow-leaf fade, while others have taken to a purplish fade.
Couple more days and it will be 9 weeks since flip
You can see the yellow hit some of the plants. All the fans at once, not a slow progression..
So pretty!
Glad I finally got some dark colours coming thru!
Lots of fade! Gets easier to harvest as all these yellow leaves drop after a day or 3.
Most of them are lean against the walls or each other now like a bunch of drunks at the end of the party.
And an overhead shot just because!
Dad’s 89th birthday today, gotta pop in for a visit, then come back and see if I get around to taking down the tent ladies or not…if not today it might not be until Tuesday…hmmmm, I want to wait, maybe look at them when lights come on at 8 tonight and check. Foxtailing hasn’t worsened much since turning down the light again, and current white hairs are turning fast in their low-light conditions!
Enjoy the day!
Looking fantastic my friend
beautiful colors brother
Happy birthday to Dad ![]()
Thanks @Dennis62. Just got back from the visit, going back for dinner too! Looks like the tent ladies are going to get a few days grace, won’t have time to chop them after we get home, I have 1 last coat of paint to put on our circular stairway, then I’m done with the ladder!
So Sunday was chop day, just been too busy to post! I have a string going from my garage door motor to the wall, and I hang a wire on it so I can hang my plants at eye level to strip them. This was the first to get cut…unfortunately (??) my hands were covered in goo after stripping the fans and I couldn’t clear my screensaver on the phone! SO 1 pic, pre-harvest is all ya get!
But a couple shots of them hanging in the cellar, one with flash one without.
And a few bud shots of the Cellar Dwellers! These come down soon too!
Wife took the week off work, we have 17 gallons of paint for the inside. Our staircase is curved, a real PITA to paint. She found this ladder leveler, works better than 2 stepladders with a board between them!
The wall is curved so you have to paint side to side, not roll up and down.
A long way down if I fall!
Done with ladder work now, hoping to be done in a week or so!
Hope everyone has a great week. Get stoned, stay stoned!
Harvest congratulations Sir @Spudgunner

Nice looking buds hanging by their toes! Congrats @Spudgunner
Appreciate it @TransplantedFarmgirl and @kaptain3d
I only lost another small bit to bud rot, probably half ounce dried total. Won’t lose anything in the Cellar Dwellers. I’ll get some trich pics of those today, see how close they are.
Congrats on the ![]()
And getting high stuff painted.
Crappy weekend. Saturday afternoon started a small cough, by nighttime it was full blown hack, every 10 or 20 seconds. So no sleep Saturday night (maybe a couple hours max).
Fortunately on Friday night, I cut the branches from the hanging VB’s off the mains so I could box them to sweat overnight. Then Saturday was 4.5 hours of trim jail. Finished around midnight with everything trimmed and larf and trim sorted out. Sunday was a wipe, didn’t even have the energy to crawl into the cellar and water/feed the Cellar Dwellers, and they were drying Friday night! At 10 at night I finally got up and dumped the buds into a bowl to weigh it, then into jars. I got 10 oz of nice buds, 2.5 oz of larfy stuff, and a couple handfuls of trim! And a few grams of kief sitting in the bottom of the trim bin.
Today I label the jars and start the belching process. I’ll check on the downstairs ladies, and if they are wilted they will get the chop, otherwise they may go another week. Checked the trichs the other day, they are all white. So anytime now whenever I feel like it, or have the energy. Fortunately they will only take about 5 minutes each to strip the fans off and hang, the joy of small plants!
Today I am felling a lot better, so hopefully I can shake this thing and return to “normal”. Would be nice to have a puff soon, went all day without yesterday! Definitely not normal.
Hope everyone has a great day, or at least a good one! Grow on folks!
Yeah that time of year! Hope you can shake it sooner than later, glad you got things chopped and curing process started.
Can’t hardly wait for a taste of my Vietnamese ladies, but Yung Thang and Short Time Girl ain’t putting out for several more weeks yet. Then it’ll be like deja vu all over again if it’s comparable to my first taste almost 60 years ago.
I sampled 3 joints of it on Friday night…the top cola that had rot halfway down it was dried after 3 or 4 days. I prefer my indicas, but this had a nice flavour for being green! Can’t wait the several months I usually wait before it is cured, but I have some from July(??) that will be great soon!
And the Cellar Dwellers come down today in an hour or so. it’s crappy weather here for the next few days, then we might get a week of good weather before it stays wet and cloudy until January. So in 11 or so days the outside ladies get the ax. Need to stagger the harvests so I don’t get too overwhelmed by so much weed!
And the deed is done!
Here are some trich shots from a coupe of days ago, finally got them off my phone!
And some shots from today’s action. Before (obviously!)
Just like outside the tent, find a place to hang them while the leaves get stripped.
Just a little top-heavy!
@Deadhead I have 2 different phenos in this batch. One type (5 plants) really went thru the fade, with leaves going yellow and soft. The other pheno (4 plants) stayed dark green with really stiff leaf stems that just snap when you bend them downwards. THIS pheno smells amazing! And thick heavy buds too. The other is nice, just not as. Buds aren’t as heavy, and have a different aroma to them.
So now, am I technically legal? I only have 4 plants GROWING, just with 9 hanging! And I guess I have more dried than I’m allowed, but I plan on giving my niece a pound for her seizures. But I’ll still be over! And I’m ok with that, the jars don’t smell, no smell no tell!
Must be about time for nap now, sure do love retirement life!
Very nice, amigo!
Mine have finished the stretch and are filling in the bud sites. Plenty of them, too, because I topped them, FIMed them, and bent a lot of stiff colas 90 degrees. Sweet Yung Thang was testing the vertical limits of my 6-foot tent.
Just wait…the next month will blow you away!
So all I’ve got left are my 4 outdoor ladies! Only 2 of the 4 clones are getting the nice dark colouring, the other 2 still green. These were the tops of the original plants from seed, all the other clones I grew (and gifted), were from side branches.
It’s been typical Lower Mainland weather, rain and more rain. Went out this morning to shake these off, sure smells nice after I do that! Supposed to be nice after a couple more wet ones, so doing the daily mold checks.
So the weather here is supposed to be ok for the next week, but that plant
on the left still needs another 2 or 3 weeks. Hey, I’ve got an empty tent now! Well, I DID have an empty one, it now has a single plant in it! Figured it would help get this one to the finish line rather than rot outside or get picked way too early. The 2 middle dark Vietnamese Black plants are so close I could take them now if needed, and the 4th is also really close.
Still checking for rot daily on all 4, there’s a bunch of small larfy branches that I will just cut off in the next couple of days. Need to get some space between some of those buds to get air thru them and dry them out better after it rains. Some of the small branches are already going black and bad, those will get removed. When these get harvested, I may just cut the big buds off and scrap the rest, how much weed do I really need? Don’t want to spend hours and hours cleaning and drying larf…rather have 6 oz of great bud done in an hour instead of an additional 10 oz of crap weed which took 8 hours to pretty up. Then I can just the buds in a colander and do a bud wash that way nd dry them in my stacking beer flat drying racks.
My only issue now is remembering the one in the tent! I don’t usually go out to the garage and tend to forget a lot of things (wonder why?
). I harvested the Cellar Dwellers on Monday and forgot they were hanging downstairs until I went down there for something else. Still good, will pop the buds off the branches Friday night or Saturday and probably jar them on Sunday. Trim jail while watching NFL all day! Altho those should only take an hour or 2 max to trim.
I’ve been hacking up a lung since Saturday, no energy and today re-tore something down low during a coughing fit. Energy levels are low and motivation sux, but I want to save some more of this even if I end up giving it away. I’ve pulled out a pound of Mighty Quin from storage for my niece as my sister is visiting next week and can take it back with her. She likes the CBD for her anxiety and seizures, says it really helps her. Best Uncle award goes to…ME!
Hope everyone is doing well, go get stoned if you can! I’ve been puff free since Saturday, hoping another couple of days and I’ll be back on track.
Heal up @Spudgunner that schmit aint fun…
