Spudgunner's Clone Grow

So last night went out for my near midnight puff before bed. Gave the res a little bump, it moved…but I filled it with 5 gallons last night??? No water outside, no leaks at the grommet…go to open the tent and as I pull the zipper along the bottom, my fingers are wet! DAMN!!

I guess after repositioning the pots, one of the floats wasn’t floating. Came off its little post that holds it in place. So the tent got an overhaul last night. Pulled the 3 plants out, pulled out the liner, pulled out the styrofoam under the liner to keep the roots warmer in the winter (don’t need it now so ok), and started scooping and toweling it up. Managed to get about 4 gallons back into the mixing bucket. Cleaned out the valves and blew out the lines while it was all apart, then reassembled.

Forty-five minutes later, mixed up new nutes and filled.Almost needed to smoke another one after ordeal! Checked this morning, no leaks and all the water on the floor had dried up. Yay!

So hope everyone’s day ended well last night. One thing to have a good day, but better to finish it off with a good night! So get started on that first part! As in partake!

sometimes automation fails us… and right before going to bed is not the time to discover a problem…

And son is moving today, so up relatively early as well. Fortunately it’s only about a 6 mile move, most of what they have is in boxes and will fit in the back of the Tahoe. Only thing I can’t fit is their bed, need to rent a small van to fit the mattress in!

But the back is killing me a bit, bent over mopping really gets this old fart crippled up.

Bruce Banner chop day! The pistils on the foxtailed buds have changed colour and are receding, leaves have pretty much been cannibalized, and she is now the shortest lady in the tent. Here are the 3 as they greeted me this morning, just before lights out. That’s Gimpy in the back trying to touch the sun, a week or so ago she was the shortest in the tent, now look at her!

One of the supercropped buds, fat with foxtails. Pretty solid tho, all smokes the same!

Close up

Here she is out o the tent. Autopot and airline disconnected and reconnected, no leaks in the tent this time!

She glistens pretty well from the light of the tent.

Took me a while to cut her, my pruning shears weren’t strong enough, had to use a saw!

Rearranged the 2 Vietnamese Black photos, but didn’t like Gimpy reaching for that light. Need a more even canopy, so bend over, Gimpy!

Now we have a bit more room to grow up, not that I want them to. Stretch should be just about done.

And a budlette shot just because!

I tried to take some trichome shots but my Max-See camera needs charging. Plant is hanging upside down, will take shots once charged and I go in to strip some of the leaves. And for a puff! Lights out now, at least everything is done for inside the tent today!

Hope everyone is having a great day today! It’s a good day to be stoned!

@Spudgunner , have you toked the Viet Black yet? If so, whaddyathink? I bought five seeds, plus 10 AK47. I’ll probably hatch all of the VB, but it’s gotta wait until I’m done with the eight autos (four seedlings, four vegging) are out of the way.

Nope to the VB…the budlette shot is the first of those that I sprouted. So it wont be ready for another 5 or 8 weeks. And then dry and cure, which now is about 6 months (love having enough stash that I can let them cure that long as a minimum!).
And good idea to wait until the autos are done. My next tent run and cellar run and outside 4 in the yard plus however many spots I can find in the hills will all be VB clones. Only 1 clone died, so I have 46 for me, friends and fiends with $$!

Thanks ROG, I might have one jar left from 2024, so glad this should fill 4 or 5 jars again! Still a bit bummed that out of the 12 seeds, one got lost but only 3 sprouted, one of which didn’t form buds just clumps of pistils and then the other one rotted on me!
Still, they were free seeds from a plant that selfied, and last year I got 4 of 6 to finish. It’s not like I’m hurtin’ for weed or anything!

So here she is hanging by her toes. Before trim shot with flash on (my garage is pretty dark unless the tent door is open)

And after the sticky deed was done. I just lower her on that string so always working at a comfortable level. With flash

Without flash

Too thick to hang as one plant, had 6 strips of wire handy, bucked her into six and down to the cellar with her! Flash

No flash

So my indoor gardening is done for another day. Need to weed eat the yard next. Mowed it yesterday, was over a foot tall. Will mow it again shorter Wednesday or Thursday, and back to work on the outside steps! Can finally get to my tools now that son has moved and taken all the boxes away that were blocking them in…grrrr!

Another puff first tho!

Yep, if most or all five of mine pop, I’ll hold one back as a clone mother. Having two small grow spaces now gives me the ability to do that now.

Thank you Lieutenant Dan! Seems like things are getting chopped across the country today!

@Deadhead i don’t bother keeping mothers. From these 2 in the tent, I took 11 cuttings off the smaller one (at the time) Gimpy the polyploid, and 36 off the larger one! I have both original tops and a ton of side branches that had to come off anyways, that’s what I use for clone material. And then keep vegging and flowering out the plants (need my smoke!). And after a coupe of runs I will have enough of that strain to last me for years, so why keep a mother?
