I don’t even worry about VPD until my plants are in flowering stage, and when in veg I am happy with a humidity of 55-65%.
I think the distance from the humidifier move will help a lot. The problem these humidifiers are they push out a fine water mist. Then it depends on the dry air in the room to quickly evaporate the mist, and this works fine in a dry location. But when it is pumping this mist into location that is already 60-70% the mist can not evaporate very quickly, since the air is already fairly saturated.
