You talked about going to the dispensary. I spent a couple of years goin and looking for something to work for me. I started with the cheap stuff. By the time I was done what I found was if I got their top shelf stuff, I had the best chance of finding something good. We are talking 320$ and oz every week.
I couple this with smoking multiple kinds a day. This helped more than anything. I finally gave up on going to the dispensary. I realized I can grow it better than the commercial guys.
I got them on consistency.
They are inconsistent, one week good, next week not as good. One week one way, the next batch another way. I might can put up with myself doin this. But not giving them this kind of money.
It is nice having the convenience of running to the store and having multiple choices. If I need it, I will utilize it for sure. Aint skeeered.

I hit ya up over at my place hopin you would take a look at the tricombs and get a feel of where we are at this week. She is 9 weeks today for reference.

10-11 wks is about when I harvest now, unless trichomes say otherwise
Last year or 2 I grew a couple of BD plants, one I harvested at 10 weeks and the other at 11 weeks,
it takes 3 hits to get a buzz from the earlier harvested plant
the 11wks one is a 1 hit and you feel it
I know this is not scientific since they were not clones
I have had 1 that was a high thc/cbd plant that finished early based on trichomes it was ready at 8 weeks after flip, 2 weeks earlier than the breeder time line, but trichomes said she was ready, so I did chop and it ended up a great strain. Actually I forgot I have it in my stash maybe I should break it out to test again
@spankyjr1 you and I have been averaging about the same harvest times. 10 to 13 weeks.
I have one out there now at 11 weeks. My big girl will be 10 on Thursday. The big girl had flowers her first week and at 22 days she had big knots. She stopped all that fancy growing about week 6 and started foxtailing. hadn’t seen no other growth.
Hey @spankyjr1. I’m a standing out here listening to the birds sing. Staring at this pile of wood. I was thinking about what ya taught me during this harvest we got to go through together.
To your credit. I learned to inspect the buds deeper. I even feel i was watching the wrong way. I have never really opened up the buds and went by the inner tricombs. I always went by the tricombs on the outside of the buds. I would take a top, bottom and middle sample comparing. I would try to get it as even as possible. All outside bud tricombs.
You taught me to really know my buds better. Dig deeper. Not to pay attention to the first layer, but the inner layers that are not stressed.
When using these methods the outcome was just damn better. The weed is fire to say the least.
The inner bud is where i will watch from now on.
In my defense, it wasnt about tricomb color all along. We view tricombs the same. It was about me watching the plant the wrong way.
For this I sure appreciate you teaching me. My harvest was better. The weeed is better.
