I appreciate the notice and appreciation of the beauty of my garden, I nicknamed it Valhalla so hopefully it matches what a garden there would appear ,it is in my eyes for sure. Woke up at 550am to turn heater down for lights off and the colas had literally doubled in size overnight. A few feedings ago my ph was high ,well ive performed a media reset and ALL my number came back on point :backhand_index_pointing_right: :backhand_index_pointing_left: :backhand_index_pointing_down: :ok_hand: so over the next few days they should explode even more. Have a great day,i see you connected with @Growdoc hes an aight :ok_hand: person  hes too nice and is a really good man. Youre lucky to have him around. Hes helped me obtain mucho wisdom in a short time. Stay warm end elevated growmie @kw_Bat

Good morning, everyone hope you’re having a great day! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I like to post my mistakes/problems along with successes, so others can avoid the problems

Please point out if my thinking is off base this is just me thinking outloud

My mistake was with storing my old soil and not adding more perlite when they were babies. Thank you @Budbrother for pointing out adding more perlite when reusing this old soil. With the old soil I stored it in old-style metal garbage cans with the lid closed tight. Creating some kind of fungi or possibly mold. This caused very slow growth. Storing this way probably would have been okay except the soil was still too wet when put into the cans, (my fault, I was in a rush ). Temperatures exceeded 100 deg for at least a week and they were left outside another 4 months with wide temp/rh swings.

They have had 2 transplants since then, I did use dynomyko in the new soil. With this said I think the roots on these 2 plants have never fully recovered correctly, the back one has been the worst. after feeding day they looked great for 1 day and went back to just not looking good. Now I’m left with the top leaves curling down, it has now started showing on the front plant, all my research says it can be light, PH, TDS, environment, and bugs. I checked it all and found no issues. The last thing I read was having wet feet. I think that is what I have. I think the roots never fully recovered.

I checked the pot weight, and I can feel that about the bottom inch of both bags are not completely dried out.

I have a fan blowing on the bag bottoms. As you can see, they wanted to be fed yesterday.

I’m thinking about doing a bottom feed with peroxide and top feed just enough to get them through a day to let the peroxide enough time to do it’s thing. Or should I get it out? Then once dried out again a full feed with plenty of funoff.

Any other thoughts?

I am also going to let them dry out another day or 2?

Have a great day everyone :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Your plans sounds good to me… but I wonder what @Budbrother or @Low think about this

Sounds like an effective path.

@spankyjr1 i can sure see what you are saying in the plants photos. My first instincts was not the soil as you explained. At first glace of the photos the question that popped in my mind was, watering. She looks like she can not brethe well.
Is this possible? You know her water schedule as I do not. Is it possible?

You talked sbout your dirt, does the dirt feel hard as a rock and heavy? When the soil is this way it can be very hard to get a grip on whether it is enough or not enough water. Even for an experienced grower this can be tricky and cause watering problems.

At best take this as good criticism to lrocess in order to help bounce ideas. Please.do not be offended.

I think basic.

Goodluck my friend.

Heating mat on 75° is how I go. Get it off the risers and onto heat. It releases the stagnant moisture into usable Oxygen for the roots, while drying out the pots. Get the root zone happy again and she’ll fill in and begin to drink normal.

Thank you for the input guys, much appreciated @kaptain3d @Low @kw_Bat @Budbrother

Both plants were completely dry today, looked like shit, but they will survive

After thinking about things overnight, along with the feedback I got, I must have overwatered the last few times and not allowed them to dry out fully.

I was watering/feeding every 3 days and increased to every other day once they started budding and stopped lifting the pots, so my mistake, hopefully this will fix the leaf issue.

Thanks again

Ive also found that blowing the fan directly at the pots will keep the root zone cooler and slow growth found out the hard way :sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns:

Hey @spankyjr1 hope all is well(besides the posted grow issues)

When you and danb suggested the peroxide treatment for me last year i did one as a bottom feed and another as a total drench. Results for both were basically the same. While i did have some other issues going on, they all recovered pretty good.

Im not sure if youre still using the HF soil but i was just talking to a local grow shop owner and he was telling me he’s been hearing similar issues with the ph swings and said it has something to do with the composted tree wood they are using. He said a bunch of other things too that i cant remember cause i was baked:rofl::rofl::rofl:. Not much help but thought id throw that out there. Since my switch to the roots organics original ive had no ph issues :crossed_fingers:
Its cheaper than the FF soils at his shop as well.

Have a great day brother :sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns:

I appreciate the reply, but this was not the soil’s fault; it was my own. I should know better. Hope you are doing good?

Yes I’m still using FFHF
