I use AC Infinity Self Watering bases. A couple of Green Cracks and an OG Kush growing in the closet on top of those bases. Both of the Green Cracks are doing this, but this one in particular has me flabbergasted. I’ve not had this kind of root production since I started using them over a year ago. I’m in full on flower also, so there is no cleanup options that won’t totally mess up the plant…
I do want to add that all plants had 2 root trims and wicking string replacements before going to flower. It just blows my mind that they took off this way after flipping. Think I’m gonna add a bubbler and air stones to try and expose those roots to the good stuff a little better. I really need to make some kind of cover lol.
I have been debating doing just that. Only thing is, I’d have to take her, along with the platform they sit on, and top feed somewhere so the runoff doesn’t end up in the base. I’m kinda letting this grow just do its thing now. I’ve got an absolute axxload of seeds from some herm in the beginning of flower. Been struggling with rh because of this La Niña weather system stuff. High temps and ridiculous rh has made January feel like late April or May here. I’ll probably just tie a shirt around the bottom to cover the roots.
Pretty freakin cool looking! Looks like they encapsulated the wicking ropes. AC infinity would probably love those pics for marketing lol. They have a copper sleeve with the Autopot system to prevent them from doing that, but it’s different than the wicking system and I still had roots break through.
Is that the thing that goes around the bottom of the bag like a liner??? I 100% need them. I was going to get them, but stuff lol. I think it’s beginning to stress the plant, though. I might have to end up tossing her. She is totally loaded with seeds from an early couple of make flowers, and has gotten what looks about 25% of the other 2 plants.
