Small suggestion: Once I used 4 wooden bbq skewers planted in the cup, all around the edge. That gives you a āframeā to help rotate the plant around the cup and gives you something to tie the higher branches toā¦
Nope. I just put my stakes in whenever I need them or have the time to do what I need. Just put your stakes right up against the cup wall and youāll do less ādamageā.
It seriously canāt be worst than having a third to a half of their roots pruned, imoā¦
Plant away, I am 99 % sure your babies will survive.
Even when I staked my latest FlĆØched girl, I just planted bamboo stakes all over without regards for the root placements and my baby never complained.
If you tape the skewers outside the cup with some duct tape or something really sturdy, Iād say put them a bit higher to get more support for longerā¦
If you plant them in the soil, just inside the cup against the sides, I would put them all the way in to give you a more solid support.
And I suppose when the cup needs balancing/weight, I could put a skewer or two on the lighter side and add some weighting gadget(s), if I donāt have skewers over there already for training.
