Solo Cup Gang Grow

It’s alive, it’s alive!

An auspicious start. Wagged their tails in 24 hours; saw the light in another 24.

This is the first time I’ve trained a plant’s main stem in a cup, so I’m kinda winging it.

It needed stabilizing, so I used a small 3/4" binder clip and a piece of 1.8mm garden wire, which seems secure and also won’t interfere with my watering method.

I water by dunking the cup into a same-size cup. (second pic)

I’ll figure out further stabilizing/staking methods as she continues to grow.

I moved the plant into the tent, it has some company now. I think I will let it fill up the solo then move to the 32 oz cup which should be here any day.

2 of the coco melon died off. Sugar breath never sprouted, bummer.

All right young lady, why is there water sprayed on your babies??

I must say I do the same with my seedlings… A few sprays of the water bottle every now and then, up until they’re big enough for a transplant or until I start to bottom feed them. :smiling_face_with_horns:

Just doing what I been doing the last year, once they get bigger I wont and trade the spray bottle for the humidifier.

A bit of torture this morning.

On the left side of the pic/plant, I softened her top (no clip/trainer yet), aiming for it to eventually go around-ish the cup.

On the right side, a couple lst clips on the first set of branches for them go out towards the back.

She’s going to be heavy on her “top” area (left side of the pic), so I’ll spread out what branches I can/balance the plant and improvise as I go along, like I’m doing now.
