Lights should be the most important thing you purchase. Try not to save money in this department. I went with HLG and im not disappointed. And I’d make sure I had everything ready to go before I popped seeds.
inexpensive grow tent can be made out of 3/4" or bigger pvc. and mylar sheets. 4x4x6’ is a good medium size. 5 gallon plastic buckets work. About $4 each. Can do 9 five gallon pots. Friend found a 4x4x7’ on sale at amazon for $80.
$20 gets a PH n PPM Meter set on amazon or ebay.
do not go cheap on the grow media. do soil…suggest the $ for FF Happy Frog is worth it. NO NEED to add nutes for two months.

do not go cheap on the lights…the led lights are popular and much less heat than regular lights.
do not use peat pots…well known for bad results.
I learned the hard way…Buy right once, cry once.
Go cheap…and beat yourself to death trying to make it work properly.

i use happy frog for photos and ocean forest for autos, i get it at ace hardware or coop for like 16.00 for the big bags verses 35.00 online
