Trying my hand at dehydrating too.

We dehydrate a lot here, fruits, peppers and wife grinds them and mix together for cooking, she also makes fruit roll ups for the grands.

Prime rib steaks, the only thing grown by others. Our boiled taters, Brussel Sprouts, and last meal of green tomatoes.

Funny you should mention that lol! I just started dehydrating my first kick at the cat.

Very tasty looking @SheilaT , wife does them in the dehydrator on the sheets also :+1:, she has a old Jack LaLane juicer runs it through and the mixes all back together and heats it up adds sugar if needed,99.9% no sugar needed.

I only did 50 last year and tend to just give it away to friends and family. Its old family tradition dating back many generations as I’m slovak/gypsy on my mother’s side.

Its a labor of love too, because its literally all done and stuffed by hand using a funnel :joy: It takes forever, but if i did it any other way my mother and grandmother would come back from their graves to haunt me haha!

Typically i just stuff it and vacuum seal links to save. Traditionally on christmas morning we’d have it boiled and it was served with homemade cocktail sauce (lotsa horseradish!). My woman prefers it grilled however

Also i make our tradtional “cheese pudding” for breakfast with it which is basically kind of like a breakfast quiche bake almost.
