Better than tomatoes ![]()
Greenhouse filled right up!
Cold cucumber soup blended with greenhouse fresh Lebanese cucumber, Thai basil (holy basil), Bok Choy, Greek yogurt, half an onion, garlic, salt, pepper and a teaspoon of honey!
Laska curry, tonight, made with a jar of laska, diced chicken tenderloins, 1.5 chopped onions, garlic, jalapeño, tomato, four bean mix, coconut cream, mushrooms, Thai basil and Bok Choy.
well that should be a meal…
Now I’m hungry
Meanwhile back in the greenhouse, another cucumber near ready, dill to the left, the bees are busy and ‘mini’ golden nugget pumpkins.
Greenhouse update, rock melon on the way and will my tomatoes ever ripen, they are getting to pumpkin size and drinking 2 to 3 gallons of water a day!
Those tomatoes would be awesome candidates for some fried green tomatoes ![]()
Planted some herbs and greens the other day, getting ready to get some peppers and tomatoes going.
I also have some herbs growing dill, chives, mint, sweet basil and Thai basil (holy basil) which has the most amazing spicy smell and taste.
For greens I have bok choy, pak choi, and cos lettuce.
No photos it’s 1AM on a new moon, pitch black!
The good news is that my Super Lemon Haze seeds arrived and I will be sowing them later today.
Love basil, our garlic chives have started to come up which I’m pretty excited about. I only planted some spinach and a couple verities of lettuce this year. Eventually we’ll have a big garden again, we just have to reconfigure the yard a bit so we can fit a greenhouse.
