She's my Apple Fritters!

Just got back from the nights trotting races were I work as the numbers man, 8 races and there are two sets of numbers. I have to make sure the numbers comeback and are ready for the race ahead, whilst selling soft drinks in-between.

10.5 weeks into 12/12, had to drain and replace one gallon with water in one tote which was getting over 1000 ppm, now at 850. The other totes are staying under 1000 with just a bottle of water every other day and are at 960 this morning, other than that it’s getting there, buds are frosting, not long to go, will evaluate on Friday.

@Krista

Four 16 gallon totes DWC in a 5x5 with a mars hydro 8000 FCE (730 watts).

Week 11 into 12/12, all totes under 1000 ppm, added a bottle of water to 3 totes yesterday, so nothing to do today except take some photos and watch them grow, looks like it will be taking a few more days yet?

Did you already pre-trim these? They’re so tidy!

Yeah I’m so bad at knowing when they’re done… #someday #newbieproblems

I don’t have it in me to do a hydro setup yet… even tho I know the automation would be nice!

Yes and no, basically just plucking the fading leaves as they fade…

This is DWC not RDWC, no water pump or the associated plumbing, so not automatic.

Though it has other advantages, totally leakproof, each plant has its own reservoir and can be adjusted individually accordingly and if one goes bad the others will be uneffected.

After initial setup, there is nothing that needs doing for the first 4 weeks and after that just a daily test of the ppm then adding extra nutrients as required to hit the ppm target for the plants’ growth stage and occasionally checking the pH and adjusting that if needed.

Oh interesting! Yeah I haven’t paid enough attention to how these other setups are built and run…

Okay any tips on how to get a steady shot with these magnifying gadgets?

Cut a bud and lay it on a table is what I do. I don’t have very steady hands with the microscope. If you have a microphone stand or tripod you could make it work

I have one of these, it connected to the phone via Wi-Fi set me back $20, as for the chop had a look in this morning and decided to give it another day.

That should do it , just have to mess with them for a while as they can be hard to focus . Turn the light down and use a torch so the light is more indirect . The bright light can make your trichomes look clear when they’re cloudy . Ahh , the old one more day routine , they can turn into two weeks before you know it lol . Peace .
