You know I’m
I know I’m getting excited for outdoors, just not sure what they will be yet.
Watching thanks for the invite!!! Cant wait to learn!!
Well we aaaaalll know that 1 plant was outta the question lol. Watching!!!
was thinking the same thing
Thanks for the tag. I would love to try this. I even have the means to make the colloidal silver. And have a strain i would like to stop growing for a while but will only do it if i can get some seeds that they never seem to make. Im very interested in your results. You mentioned the short season. I forget that it gets cold there too.
Watching with excitement!
LFG! Im here and can’t wait to see what kind of adventures you get into this grow
Think I’ll stick around and try to learn sumpthin… If a female gets nanners and pollinates herself or others would that make female seeds also??
Not that it’s cold. I just don’t really want/need 10 foot tall plants this year LOL. I was thinking with a shorter veg period, they would be smaller plants because, well, they flip when mother nature tells them to flip
Thanks everyone! Great to have so many awesome growers and supporters along!
You’re welcome any time!!
Absolutely!! The more the merrier
I found you all by myself! Following along, liked last years thread of yours!
Yep. Nanners don’t seem to produce as many seeds as male flowers do, but at least they are female! I just harvested 4 Bruce Banner auto plants that came from a nannered plant from summer 2022 outdoor grow. Kept them in 1 gal pots and they flowered fast and stayed small, but got 5 ounces of nice smelling stickiness from them.
Welcome aboard @Spudgunner!
Had a couple plants herm on me and was thinking about using the seeds to see if I can get anything outta them.
My understanding is they will not “For Sure” Hermie on me but they will be more susceptible to herming??? Is this true??? Any thoughts on how to treat Hermie seeds on a grow???
Hermied seeds will carry the hermie trait with them, so they MIGHT hermie as well if conditions are “right” for that, ie plant gets stressed. But they also should be female (or start that way!). True hermies with ball sacks produce more pollen than nanners do and could seed your entire tent, whereas nanners only seem to hit a few branches/buds. Mine, I got 18 seeds from my nannered plant, whereas a hermie may have produced hundreds of seeds and affected the potency of the bud.
Yeah mine got light stressed from a small dehumidifier power light but did not get too outta control. Definitely a few seeds on two of the plants but the third never developed any traits. I chopped early because of it so not sure how exactly it affected the potency. But it certainly wasn’t hundred of seeds. Maybe a couple dozen outta both plants??? I’ll probably plant them and see what happens. Maybe I can do a couple real quick runs with them and see I get.
If they look good they should be viable. I soaked and sprouted 6 of mine so far. Started with 3, all germed and came up, but 1 was yellow. dropped 3 more, 1 of those was also yellow. No chlorophyll in them to make energy. Neither made it so I finished with 4 in 1 gallon pots. This was November 15th shot.
A month later, they looked like this (next to them are 3 Bear Dance autos spouted Oct 9 or so)
I think keeping them in smaller pots triggers them faster. One of these got harvested Feb 1, the other 3 on Feb 11th between the Canucks’ win and the Chiefs’ win. Five ounce total.
I’m tempted to drop the last 12 seeds and cram the tent for a quick run, but will wait until fall for that, have other plants on the go now!
@Spudgunner Love it!!! I think I may do exactly what you got cooking there. Heck, I’ll take a couple extra lids outta some Hermie seeds if I can!!! Just keep them small and fast seems to be the name of the game. Thanks for the insight growmie!!! I appreciate it!!!
Sharing is caring! I have a whole bunch of those 1 gallon pots, got them for like a dime a piece, and a few 2 and 3 gallons as well. My eventual plan is to clone a bunch of my photos and once rooted, flip after maybe 2 weeks in my cellar space. Four would get moved to the 4x4 tent in my autopots, under 18/6 to take replacement cuts from them after another month or so before they too get flipped. Bet I could cram 16 or maybe 25 in my cellar space if they stay under 24" tall.
