Gonna be throwing a net up in a week or two here myself. Just fimmed them today so hoping they start to bush out a bit. Gotta keep them low so they don’t get too high (wait too high???) haha.
First time Fimming so not sure how I did???

Nice, I topped mine over a week ago never fimmed plants before! Looking good
So I got a little complacent today, in a hurry just too much to do, today was water day! I’ve had a few fungus gnats so I had the bits in the water so I drain them off and everything was great, only problem is I watered and didn’t PH water first SMH! I’m assuming I will be okay hopefully, I have been pHing pretty much since after first week. So the biggest pain is I am no longer in a tent and about to put trellis up it is a mofo to water only having one way in, does anyone have any suggestions at this point because next run all my pots will have halos. So I have a watering wand head seems to be kind of big considering the plants are pretty tight to the bottom of the pot as I’ve been tying them down, I’m sure that will definitely work once they grow taller and the bottoms are more exposed! Just figured I’d hop on see if anyone had some methods of how they water to make life much easier!
I think you may have missed actually…spread the two fan leaves you cut, and see if the main top is also cut…it should be.
When you FIM (stands for Fu#$ I missed) you want to get the main top but not the two accompanying little branches just starting at the topmost node. This way you actually end up with 4 main tops. Top those and you’ve got 8 glorious cola bearing main stalks!
Gotta break that apical dominance for the most productive indoor plant structure.
You can still get the halos. Not to l8te…just going to have to lay on gut or work the wand from above. It will get easier as they get bigger…da derbs!
I don’t fim I top mine, sounds awesome for sure! Post some updated photos some time, I would like to see what you got going on!! Happy grow
@StickyFrostyBuds Oh gotcha!!! Thanks for the info. Never done it before so wanted to check with those that know more than me. I will check it out here in just a few and try again. Really appreciate the info!!!
Not gonna lie…sometimes i get a good one…many times i dont lol!
Even straight up topping is an excelent start. You can LST from there to spread out the canopy and encourage the side branches to grow up to match the main tops.
I’m a organic guy, use super soil and pretty much just water and Calmag! I hit them with some recharge after trimming and topping and I’m thinking I will give them bud and bloom and a veg combo after a few weeks into flower just for some extra love! I’m new at this and is only my second run! If any organic growers on here have any pointers I’m all ears thanks!
Week since I flipped, and these ladies are doing great so far! I did some trimming around the base waiting a week and will trim some more!
Looking great! Gonna be some big ole’ girls!
Wanted to update! So I’m a few days out from being 3 weeks into flower and these ladies are looking amazing! I really like the fact that they are not getting to tall like my first run with white widow, I have been moving the branches around to fill out the squares and keep them from shooting to the sky! I added an isolating fan and have a fan blowing from underneath as well! Pics to follow!!
Same for you!
O yes!!! Looking beautiful. Nice growmie! Keep it going.
What light is that @Mpags ?
@Mpags those are looking thick!!! Some mighty fine buds are in your near future!!!
