I’ve tried totes and not had the success you are experiencing. Thank gawd, there are many methods that work to grow and groom this plant 
And ur spot on with needing more CFM when water temps rise to maintain an appropriate level of dissolved O2 (higher temps = rapid movement = loss of O2 retention)
The other Candy Store is growing like a weed and doing fine

Did you see Willy’s YouTube got shut down today? He had a tip about those using a magnetic stir egg and then taking five or six syringe covers and throwing in the jar. That way when you put it on the stir, the covers act like little blades to chop it up.
