yes I can feel the pressure to drop some seeds and understand the struggle we have with growing this amazing plant… I need to wait till December so I can enjoy the camp without having to run back to the house every 3 days to refill the totes… that is what I have done the last 3 years while staying out at the camp… I grew year round to be able to have enough…now that I vape and consume 1/10 of what I did before I can relax between grows knowing I have enough till next harvest…

And yeah, new title. Although the old one was reference to a strain, I didnt want someone to come along and mistakingly think I was referencing a group of people. It fits with my hydro and name game. And last but not least, its a great album!

I know, I know. But when I test filled a tote, the sides bulged so much it made me nervous. Each tote was going to hold 12 gallons and all I could think about was a catastrophic tent flood. So, here I am, all back in the DWC buckets.

morning growmie… I was wondering how you were going to empty your buckets…I didn’t see a return line so I am thinking DWC like me but are you going to lift the lid when you exchange the nutes in them…

Yep, thats how I roll. Slide the lid and pump out. Flip the pump around and refill with fresh nutes.

Besides the bulge, the more I thought about the tote, the more I thought it would cramp my style. I like to swap the containers out at transition to keep things clean and prevent issues in the root zone. I believe it’s a big part of my success in hydro, keeping it clean! The totes seem too large to do this easily, whereas the buckets are small and I already have a system in place.
I fully empty out at transition, before the root mass gets too large and move the plant to a different bucket filled with just plain RO. This gives me an opportunity to clean their buckets, air lines, and stones as we go in to flower.

I am always curious how some take care of their plants with the bucket setups. has to be tough to lift a big girl up to suck out the nutes… … I use the 12 gallon totes with just 5 gallons in them… always trying to improve if I can…
