Here is a photo update showing the whole plant, top & low bud and a loupe shoot of top & low bud.
Started flushing a week ago preparing the plants for harvesting.
I still find it hard to tell from looking at the pistils and trichomes if its time to start harvesting.
So once again I am asking you pros that has helped me get this far: Do you think that it is time for harvest?
Just my 2 pennies, I’d let it go 3-4 more days are recheck,. It’s really all in what your looking for tho the more amber the more couch lock I’m a good energizing buzz guy myself an like all milky with 10% or so amber,
Thanks, I need to post some pics of mine, I have been cutting way back on the feeding. And have started flushing a few. Trying to let the rest pack on some more weight!
I would like to thank everybody that has helped me in this grow especially, @Coen3440, @PP3121 and @MidwestGuy.
Could not have done it without your helpful advice and encouragement on this journey.
Started harvesting and drying all three plants on the 13 of January, hanging them in my closet.
And finally, today it was time to start the curing process and to find out the weight.
I used glass jars for the purpose of curing and put each plant in its own jar.
The plan is to cure them for at least 2 weeks before I will test the final product, maybe longer if I am patient enough.
The two plants that I have chopped so far were 22g dry and 25g dry, so for autos I think an oz each is normal. I have a few that are going to have more. I got my screens today and made some dry sift hash, it was so cool.
I think 2-3 gal is a good size for indoor unless you are planing on vegging for a few months then maybe you would want 5-7 gal. I have ones in 2 gal pots that will have 3 oz on them so n 12 weeks though.
Nice. My girl is really taking off! First grow tried to grow three plants in a 2x2. Needless to say, not enough space and not enough light. Just growing the one BB now. If I can get 2-3 oz, I will be extremely pleased. Long way to go yet.
You learn something from every grow and this time I really started to understand the importance of space and correct light. Initially the plan was to setup 4 plants in my 2x2 tent, but one did not make it so then I had 3 left. Next time around I will setup a maximum of 2 plants in my tent so that they will have more space. Another thing I slowly figured out was that my light a Mars Hydro TS 600 LED really could not provide enough sun for 4 or even 3 plants.
Yea I have 15 in a 3x3 and it is tight, I only have 17 in my new 4x7 and this time I am only putting 6 in my 3x3. You don’t want them to tight, but you also don’t want to waist light, any light that hits the floor is wasted. And yea that marshydro 600 is prob only 150 watts. And they say if you get a gram per watt you are doing good so best case you could get maybe 6 oz with it. What did you end up with?
For me, the yields were very poor. Made so many mistakes which obviously impacted overall yield. I got about 45g from BB#1, 14g from AMN #1, and 17g from NLights #1. So, in total for the three plants about 2.6 oz. I expect that from just this BB #2 - if all continues well.
I did a lot of thigs to her today so I am a bit worried. I increased nutes to full bloom strength; lowered the lights significantly (after reading a post from @Nicky - I realized my lights were too high - Thanx), pruned several large fan leaves interfering with watering and light, and removed the humidifier!
My light is only like 9 inches over some of my real tall ones, but it is as high as it will go, I tied a few of them down like 5 weeks into bud, that is deff not good for them. The buds on those ones are way smaller
Exactly what happened to my first grow! Had to keep pulling her down several weeks into flowering. Definitely had an impact, but could not let her burn either!
