So i keep looking at the autflower seed that came with one of my seed orders. Really wanna do it outside this year lol. Im not gunna invest as much time into it, but if i could get anything off it thats weed i didn’t have lol.

I have several 3 gallon fabric pots but id really like to do it in the ground. Not being in a container really helps them blend into a woodline . Never done one in the ground but i figure it would be worth trying. Dont read to much on here about auto flowers straight into the dirt but im sure yall have done it.

The ground is pitiful at the house, lots of clay and pine trees but there are a few spots that are healthier looking than others. I figure my best bet is gunna be digging out a hole and adding my own soil. If i can find a top soil that will support it for the first few weeks ill finish it with the jacks i have.

Already got 100 questions but im gunna try and do some reading before i start asking lol. One thing than already has me puzzled, what do you do about not being able to check runoff??

Id greatly appreciate any outdoor advice yall think ill need to know to get started! Thanks everyone  happy friday!!

Just trust Mother Nature…
And keep an eye on how your plants will react. Your plant will eventually tell you what she needs. People growing in living soil might be able to help you with these questions. @GreenJewels being one such fantastic grower…

Thanks for the kind compliment @kaptain3d

Most of the growers growing outdoors still use pots. It gives you more control of the soil.
If you go directly in the ground you can ammend the soil and then topdress throughout the grow. No need to check run offs though. Feel free to tag me with any questions.

Abu there are as many ways to grow outside as there are inside…a raised bed is an awesome way…can be something you build or as simple as a few logs and rocks arranged to hold your soil…cloth grow pots are even better imo because if you need to move you can…sometimes repeatedly…lol… Happy Growing

Was thinking about this!! Should still be easy enough to conceal. Plus i wont have to dig as deep of a hole and maybe that will keep the cut worms off of it .

Yeah you can just use whatever is laying around and it blends in plus you can cover the dirt with leaves /brush…I use camo netting on the cloth pots and they disappear

Thanks @OGIncognito I will be around more now. Life gets pretty busy at times but things are slowing down. I’ll always be bad at keeping my journal updated though

Sounds like my dirt in the yard. Take a soil sample in a couple places and depths and have it tested. It will tell you what you need to add.
Google garden soil testing (your city) and it will give you the place to take it. Normally a nominal fee if not free. I can’t grow outdoors but needed to check for landscaping.

Apera 60-EZ specs
Contradiction?
“Calibration Points” “Automatic 1 to 3 points” “(recognizes up to 5 types…”

Both my Apera 20 and Apera 60-EZ, confirmed electronically, calibration cycle completed successfully, unlike the others, I have, used.
Got to go look at the ten, go figure, I didn’t think I needed it.
Monthly Cal will be interesting 4-1-24
Thanks

Went ahead and fed her this morning before the lights come on. Im gunna be out of the house today so figured that would be better than going dry all day lol. Full strength jacks 4/2

Ran my ph in a little low this time since its still been trending out in the 7-7.4 range the past several weeks.

And wouldn’t you know it… still over 7 out . Its not any higher than normal and the plant still looks super healthy so im just gunna keep on keeping on. Figure ill set ph to 5-6 range till i see the runoff change. Ppm are finally back where they are supposed to be! I see where the alternating feed and water days is starting to matter. During veg id feed every time and it was eating good! Seams like the uptake has slowed during flowing and she aint needing as much.
Out

Shes so cute when shes sleepin lol.

I haven’t gave this blue dream enough credit. Ive made it to grove bags now that have been curing for months now and it still rocks me . The downside to the little tent is at harvest i only have 1 strain to smoke on till the next harvest and you get burned out lol. But every now and again she just hits different. Got me out here playing in the pond .

Caught some crawfish, gunna see if i can catch a crappie on one .
