RH up, temp down struggle

While I would agree my first few lights purchases like many were not ideal. Even though I did some research I didn’t do enough. Luckily I sold my old 300w Chinese COB, but these I will probably be stuck with.
Ideally ide like to sell these and the QB in order to get a 3500k rather than the 3k I have but meh.

These lights will definitely veg plants and I’ve already paid for them so the plan is to move them into the side clone chambers on my 3x4 tent (3x1 clone chamber with w shelves)
To be honest I’m going to grow a herb garden on one shelf and leave the other for vegging seeds/clones while a main tent finishes.

This was my last indoor grow using the CFL’s, my tent was full so my hands were tied.

This is how they ended up after putting them under the QB to finish, so it works.
The big question in my mind I wanted to clarify with @dbrn32 was should I be vegging with the CFL’s or with the 3k QB, and if with the CFL’s then at what point do I switch to the QB? I would. Assume after 30 days or when the plants start to spread out enough that the CLF doesn’t give good light penetration or spread.

I use my qb 3k to veg. Start it at 32” and 50w then each week I bump it up 10w.

So you have a device that measures the Wattage your pulling from the wall?

I will try next grow to veg on both to see if there is a clear winner, because my tent may need a break, the zipper gave out. This means I may have to strip the tent shell and bring it into a local seamstress.
Tried to fix it with Velcro patches but doesnt stick to the mylar

Yeah, it’s a kill-a-watt meter. It can also track your total usage to see how much a grow cost you in the end.

Oh I like that! I think I’ll buy one … now! I am interested in k owing how much I’m actually drawing from my outlets.

I did the math myself and I’m using about 20$ a month per tent.

What’s everyone’s price per KWh? I’m curious

I wish there was larger humidfiors… Like really 4L is all these ones hold…

Mine is like .12 kWh and free nights and weekends.

I’m averaging a dollar a day!

Not what I said. You can veg with either of them. I would say both have their advantages and disadvantages, but they’re going to outweigh each other in most cases. Have you looked at distribution graph of 3000k to 3500k? I’m nearly sure you would have a hard time picking out plants vegged under one vs the other.

I’m just really tired of hearing the term “full spectrum” is all. Any standard cfl is full spectrum. Just like any standard led bulb. A t5, t8, metal halide, ceramic metal halide, high pressure sodium, and anything like any of them. They’re all full spectrum lights. The only thing commonly used to grow weed that isn’t full spectrum is an led fixture that only has red and blue leds. It’s even possible to have a “full spectrum” light that’s horrible at growing. It’s pretty much a useless term that has found it’s way into growing.

That’s fair I feel your frustration, I hate how people call sweet potato /sweet potato fries Yams… They are not YAMS ugh yams taste and look totally different. Yet everyone to grocery stores to restaurants have labeled them yams half the time and it grinds my gears so much I correct anyone I hear or see using the wrong term. Lol.

Okay back to lights, I was going to pull the 3500k spectrum and the 3000k but I can’t seem to find the 3500k anymore is hlg no longer selling them I Geuss. Instead they are 4k or 3k with the 660 Osram chips.
Not much technical data on the sunblaster just shows the lumens.
Geuss next grow I will veg under each and see who does better

They probably feel same as I posted. Not big enough difference to continually stock such similar parts. Or they’re just out of 3500k, not sure to be honest.
