Recommended soil for autoflower

I do try :exploding_head:

Awesome thanks a lot! Will skimp on the tds and get the apera. I am limited on budget (the wife) lol. I’ll have to make the mars hydro 27x27x63 with ts 1000 work for now. Nutrients noted. Will try out the kosher. I’m just worried about over doing it and frying them. Should I just follow directions on labels? Or dilute? Once again I can’t thank you enough for the advice.

With Kosher or jacks Full recommended feed every time. Recommend either the silica that they offer or botanicare silica blast works great too.

You are most welcome my new friend. Also, for an influx of cash, ever donated blood plasma? If you live near a plasma donation center like CSL, Biolife or Griffols you can make almost 1k in 30 days as a new donor.

I was reading along in your thread/journal and I seen people talking about the fox farm always having ph issues? Should I worry about that? Also someone stated you should only use FF nutes withFF soil? You were absolutely right when you said the overwhelming part is so many ways to grow weed lol. Everyone all has different opinions and theory’s.

If there were only one way to do it, everyone would be doing it! Nobody in this forum does it the way I do or use the same nutes and soil I do. But it works for me. You can look through my my journal if you would like. I know Doc has you covered and I wouldnt want to interfere, but the invite is there. Doc is a friend of mine and I wouldnt step on his toes!! lol

Yessir that makes sense! Reckon I oughta do what doc said earlier with find a single grower and stick with their technique for my first grow! So @Docnraq I’m along for the ride!

Anything you need, ask away

FF nutes tend to leave people low on ph towards mid grow, which is why so many flushes are worked into their feed schedule. In my current run, with Jacks and with Kosher, not a single flush and perfect PH in FFOF.

I think of you are going to use FF nutes you should use FF soil but not the other way around. I have been usi g it for 2 years, I am thinking if trying othet soils but just so I can be more helpful.

Yes they do! Thats why its important to get the fundamentals. Why and when vs how and what.

And I respect that! I followed him when I first started here and I still do and always will. He has a lot of knowledge in this field and when I have a question, he is who I ask.

Thanks brother. Very kind.

Will do! I think I’m good on questions for now. My seeds should be here shortly, got all the other stuff arriving by Friday. Gonna go to the hydro store Saturday for my soil and perlite. Also will have to get some ph up down there. For some reason Amazon says it’s illegal to ship in Illinois? Oh yeah and I wasn’t questioning you at all! I was just more curious then anything

I didnt take it that way. Your good, question me, by all means.

Last question for today lol. So was looking at picture you posted of your notes and see you add part A and part b in the earlier weeks. Is that base and grow? Then later weeks I see base and flower. Looking at ordering the kosher and just curious if I need to get the grow since I shouldn’t need any nutrients until they start flowering? Also I’ll get the silica from there as well but that won’t need to be added to flower stage as well?

Fox farm has good soil, and a good selection of different soils. Home Depot sells it, but I have to order it they don’t stock it in the store. I have it sent to the store near me, there soil works!!!

I like Roots Organics Original soil. It has some amendments, but is seedling-friendly, keeps a good PH, and contains lots of perlite.

2 different plants one being fed jacks the other Kosher. The one that is Base and Flower is Kosher

Up to you about getting grow vs grow and flower, If always using an amended soil Like FF you could prolly get away without grow nute. You would start silica around week 4 or so. Silica makes the stems tough to train so you usually want to give it after training is mostly complete

Got my seeds in! Gonna start germinating one as we speak!

Those are photoperiod seeds, I do believe. Did you mean to order autos?
