Is there a ratio of how much weed to everclear or can I just load the jar and shake it? Also is there a benefit to letting them soak in 120 proof everclear for many months? Will it be stronger

You just need to make sure that the flower is covered with the ethanol for a complete extraction. Also helps to make sure it’s covered when you shake the jar. I have never used 120, I have always used 195 proof so I’m not sure how extraction will work, but Green Dragon is made by soaking your flower in ethanol for several months. It’s really not necessary for extraction to soak this long, it’s just how the old-timers used to make green dragon
I wouldn’t use anything less the than 190 proof, thats 95% 120 is only 60% alcohol.

Make sure the bud is as cold as you can get it. I keep the bud and 190 everclear in the freezer at -1, colder is even better you can use dry ice for that.
No i dont think so. You will pull more plant matter into the extraction wil in turn is contaminants in the end product. My 2 cents.
I would agree with this as well. Cold product, everclear, and shake like a mad man. Freeze for another hour shake again then filter. Thats how i would do it to try and get the cleanest tincture possible.
Yeah 120 is the highest I can buy in my state, i made the golden dragon befroe and got so much gooey hash oil from it and about 2 vials of liquid because i was impatient with the room temperature evaporation.
I just have a pound left over and been trying to figure out what to do with it all. So I figure make a bunch of this stuff just super concentrated and leave it soak for a year.
So that’s the difference between green dragon and this Quick wash/gold dragon? Just a longer soak?
Guess I’ll just label jars and take pictures and give yall the yummy results

If you have a distiller or a source turbo you can take that 120 proof and distill it to nearly pure. It might take a few runs. I use a water distiller but a source turbo would be better.

Yes, the soak time is the main difference between the recipes. Also reading that the green dragon was usually made with a lower proof alcohol, probably because of of difficulty getting 190 proof in a lot of places. Quick wash ethanol tincture will also taste better than Green Dragon because it pulls less chlorophyll and other unwanted parts of the plant because of the long extraction time and the warmer temperatures that is made at.
You know I’ve just been collecting the tincture and making mixed drinks with it. I did have it by itself when I followed the recipe here, but I wanted it to be stronger for myself personally. Then I just collected that big black ball of wet hash which is pretty awesome.
I am just trying to clean my closet out of all the product left over and not just throw it away.
I was going to use my buddy’s press and make some wax, Maybe just a bunch of butter to freeze to. Or some hard candies that have a nice stable shelf life.

Thats such a clean wash! Mine is always so green. 
How long do you leaf them soaking for? I got one in the freeezer that will stayy for a year. Just to see what will happen.
I have one thats been soaking since November. Mostly because I forgot what I was doing with it.

Oh damn hahaha. I think I’ll just follow this recipe and put only an ounce or 2 in. Because i dont think i left enough room this time to shake all the kief off and have it transform into a gooey hash ball. The first time i got around the size of a giant marble or a golf ball
