Question about bulbs

A question from a fellow grower:

Hello, I purchased the sun system 8inch ac/de lights for my flower room and can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong. Buds just don’t seem to get as big or dense as I got with standard hps. I try to keep my hoods 24-36" above the canopy. Running them with the green galaxy dimmable ballasts and ushio pro plus bulbs at 1100 watts with 240v.

Have you had the lights compared with a PAR meter at the canopy? Are you running these lights at the same distance as your previous lights? And are they the same wattage as your previous lights?
