Purple Buds and Milky Trichomes (What It Means for Harvest) - 46f-240x Pics

Quick Answer

Milky trichomes indicate peak THC levels and are usually the best time to harvest for potency.

Trichome stages:

  • Clear → not ready

  • Milky → peak potency

  • Amber → more sedative effects

Purple coloration is usually genetic or environmental and doesn’t directly affect potency.

Mostly clear/cloudy. Few ambers on the very top colas.

Those red hairy things are pistils, not trichomes.

I see lots of clear trichomes a couple of amber on sugar leaves. Do you have pictures of the whole plant and a bud pictures.
