This is pretty incredible. Some dude figured out how to make mushrooms play a keyboard.

Much appreciated. Never disappointed with this strain. I have some blue meanies that are about ready to spawn to bulk. Always have trouble with them so its good to get a flush in before the crap shoot.

Happy 4th shroomies… well after the initial harvest I dumped about 1/2 gallon water into the tub and ended up getting another 25 grams dried from it … it was all side growth… I am thinking my cake was too dry …the top was pretty hard… I guess I did the second flush right… let me know if that was not how to flush for a second run… :cowboy_hat_face:

I soak for 36 hours for a 2nd flush, pour off the water, then put the tubs back in fruiting conditions.

I definitely didn’t put enough water to float my cake or have any excess water … it sucked it up within a few hours… thanks for your input…

Hey everyone. Quick question. When hydrating grains when.do.you know they are fully hydrated?

I use popcorn and pressure cook it for 60 minutes to hydrate it. I suppose smaller grains like milo or millet would hydrate quicker.

Yeah but what if you just soak it in water? I pressure cooked my last batch and it didnt hydrate it.

I have no idea. I’ve always PCed.

Rinse the grain dust off and then cover with water for 24 hours. Drain and put in a pot. Cover with water and simmer for 45 minutes. If your grains start bursting open, they are fully hydrated, stop the simmer. Drain and put in jars. Pressure cook at 15psi for 1 hour.
This method works for me and ensures hydration. It also allows bacteria endospores to germinate so we can kill them properly in the pressure cook.
