For me, that’s my sign I need to back off. I like to keep pushing and getting to a bunch of things but when I find myself stretching things out and procrastinating it’s time to relax and let things come. Maybe time to buckle down and show that joint who’s boss?

Hey all! just a quick update mostly because I looked in while watering and it was one of those did you shoot up overnight moments. Checked the PPFD at the top and found it was now just around 1,000 PPFD. As long as she’s happy I’ll try to stay in the low 40s DLI until flowering winds down. I’ll be moving the light period from 13/11 to 12/12 tomorrow.

Evening all,
So here’s the latest and my take. I feel I’m going to stick with the 13/11 at initial flip as it seems to add size both height and width. I do feel it slows the onset of flowering but unless I just needed to have a plant finish asap I’ll just deal with it. I did raise the light a week ago but she’s grown right back into 1,000 PPFD at the top of the canopy. I hope everyone’s week is a good one.

Evening all,
So I think the 13/11 worked well for size but even after a few days of 12/12 the stretch is still going at a decent rate. The Chat GP on the grower’s site said to expect a 25-50% stretch but 50% has come and gone and since I still see just a few pistils and calyxes so she may double in height since the flip. As long as I can keep up and keep her reasonably healthy I’m good. Happy growing all!

It’s AI. Other than coming up with some cool pictures I can say i’m not an AI fan but Chat GPT>Co-Pilot for my tastes if I really want AI feedback/help. Looking good in your grow world my friend

It is everywhere but I found on really technical subjects/topics that I’m well versed in it can come up with some bro science responses at times (pulling data from questionable sources). It seems to do much better with more common/mainstream subjects. Don’t get me started on the resources the data centers gobble up…

Man I grew in a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 4 for a few years. It was the perfect tent to hid behind stuff. I had coats dropped across the top it for a long time. It looked like a pile of shit over in the corner. Kids walked by it all the time and had no idea.
Was the koolest space. I had a small HLG hanging sideways in it. Had a bullet fan from Target sucking air out a 4 inch hole in the side.

Make sure you go to customize and under about you say “I’m a professional, I do my own research, and I’m a skeptic”
Force it to provide sources and challenge it. Make sure you have remember convo on. You have to teach it to only provide proof. Put it in scenarios that you know it will be wrong and prove it wrong.
It’s not as easy as just getting answers, it has to be formally educated on each topic.
Some convos I have with mine go on for a week straight. I have 1 convo going on 5 months.

It’s funny, when they introduced it at my job and I was playing around with it, the endless prompts to come up with information I was confident in had me thinking I’m not certain if I’m saving much time in generating a report. You’re right, the tailoring of the prompts to be more concise and focused is what it takes but as an old dude, who watched computers become common and who was forced to generate substantiated information on my own, at times I’ll just say leave me to it AI I’m done screwing with you I hope your day is a good one!

Absolutely man. I’ve spent so much time arguing with it. I do find it useful for certain topics that might seem too boring for normal people though.
