I use happy frog. It’s normally not that high not from my experience or what Ive heard. I did a slurry test and the ppm was only 1400 out the bag
Yeah, Happy Frog has less of a charge than Ocean Forest, and also many other popular varieties and brands. But I’ve seen it produce runoff over 1400 before. I used it more than once during the covid shut downs when my brand was out of stock and FF was all I could get.
@Cap_Ron what do you use
When I grow in soil I use Mother Earth Coco Peat, but currently I’m growing in coco, and I feed with Advanced Nutrients.
It’s been about a week after the flush, how’s the plant doing now? You have any further questions some of us can help you with?
@Autos-only well I picked up some sledgehammer by Fox farms. And the next watering. I put two to three gallons. With the appropriate mix of sledgehammer. (Their flushing agent)
My ppm had dropped a little more. And I brought my pH up to 6.4
I did something stupid and put them in huge pots. So I don’t get to water and fix as often. There’s been some burning going on. And toxicity but over all I think they’re doing better.
The only thing I’m really not sure of is. I’m starting to have some leaf discoloration and burning tips on the apple fritter ( the flowering one) and I’m starting my third week in flower. I’m giving Fox farms grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. Except all this started after I flipped to flower so now I’m starting my third week of flower and my ppm is a bit too high. I’m worried about not being able to add tiger bloom. And my plant needs some of that P-k because it’s time to start giving it the tiger bloom but I can’t.
They look great man, leaves standing up absorbing all the light they can get.
I wouldn’t change a thing, a few blemishes on the leaves is normal in flower.
That’s what one of the guys I talk to on her on Instagram. He give me advice when I ask. So I’m not uploading a bunch of shit here.
Also looking back my leaves hadn’t been standing at attention like that in a long time. But I was too new to realize something wasn’t right.
Now I just need to fix my humidity issues. Iv been through two dehumidifier. But I got one coming today that comes recommended from other growers. (Keeping my flower tent low)
@Autos-only I hear it’s ok to defoliate in flower. But wait till about your third week. Then give it a couple weeks in-between. If you do defoliate in flower you want to do it spread out to give it more time to recover. So I’m gonna trim. Some of the fan leaves that are covering bud sites this weekend
Sounds good! Light defoliation will help manage humidity, pests, mold and get light deeper into the canopy.
Just go light and easy on her you can always remove more later.
So Im using FF in CoCo, do you guys recommend a flush(sledgehammer) before i flip into flower?
