You have 200 watts total for 2 plants. You can run one plant, or you can get more lighting. A good guidance metric is 200 watts per plant. It will raise your PPFD to where it needs to be.
The SF1000 light is a decent one, it’s just not powerful enough to effectively flower a plant. If you get more lighting, be sure to get lights built with Samsung LM301 diodes. Spider Farmer uses the LM301b diodes, and these are fine.
Two more SF1000 or one additional SF2000 will get the job done.
I have the LM301b diodes in my lights. I run 300 watts per plant and get results like this:
Also just one more question for you. As stated before im somewhere in the week 6-7-8 of flower and my temps during the day are at a steady 81 degrees F. rh 40-50%. Ive been reading mixed opinions within the forum and other websites. some say over 85 is bad some say over 81 is bad. Ive been doing all I can to keep the temps down with what I have. Is 81 f okay ?
85 is okay too. My Summer tent tips peak at 85 during the day. I wouldn’t maintain it at 85 indefinitely, but it’s okay for spikes high during the day.
81 is absolutely okay and it can be sustained throughout a grow.
What higher temps do is cause the plants to lose terpenes. Ideal is generally accepted at between 78 and 83F. Letting your plants sit for a couple of days before harvest in the dark will lower temps and allow some terpenes to be retained due to the lower temps.
So I did my first flush today and happy to report PPM measured back down to 1030. Each plant took around 3-4 gallons of water to get there. Thanks for the guidance to everyone who contributed!
