Powdery Mildew?

Sorry man I didn’t see your other reply. I +1 garrigans advice on the DE. I am working it right now.

Speaking of which, this will be day 4 or 5. I think it was midday on sunday when I applied the DE. Unfortunately bug activity has resumed. And the two clones I took a few weeks ago that somehow survived against all odds are what I am calling dead as of today. I’m not sure if the bugs got to them too but they were doing awesome and growing like crazy, I started putting them next to my big plant so they could get more air flow I was hoping for them to bulk up on their stems. But in like one day the leaves begin to dryed out and curl up, I tried everything to keep them moist but they seriously dried up. I have been keeping the soil damp on the top with a spray bottle but not over watering I don’t think. I went to feel the smaller of the two and when I lightly touched it the roots came up and it fell over. I lightly tugged on the other one as well and it came right up. There still seems to be a spark of life perhaps, so what I decided to do is put them in my new mister cloner to see if maybe they can come back. My plant isn’t healthy enough to take more clones from so I figure this will be another good test for the cloner while I can’t use it for mj. I washed the roots off and put them in there with the basil I have in there. Things I am worried about are bugs spreading from the MJ clones to the basil, and for a bit of dirt to begin to circulate in the water since I wasn’t able to get all the dirt off, I hope I don’t clog my misters.

You need to get some spray on bug killer that is organic, that what the people at the hydro shop. Spray then dust with DE. Hope they live both your and mine.

Yea I was thinking of maybe some neem oil after my DE round.

I think you did the right thing by putting them into your cloner When you get ready to place them back into. Soil. Get some Root Stimulator and Hydrg)en proxide. 1/4 tsp of each to one. Gal water

Will

Thanks I will do that.

Heres an update. Unfortunately they still seem to be alive and well. This also shows how they made little catacombs of webs…driving me nuts, it’s hard to tell but you can see them crawling. Small black ones and more tan ones, I think the tan ones are the spider mites. Just die already. :frowning:

WoW you really do have them bad. If you weren’t so far away I would come over and help you out.
I’m going to look in my guide for sick a.tsp and see if I can’t come up with something simple. B right back

Thanks Will, I know man and it was like once I put on the DE they went crazy with the webs. When you mentioned thrips there was little to no webbing. I’ve been bombing the thicker webs with a spray bottle with the DE inside. Still seems like there is quite a few though right?

Ya way to many I won’t spray and let the DE do it’s work item thinking the spray is Xing out the DE

Alright, maybe I will give it another week or a few days. It will be 7 days as of tomorrow.

Item having all kinds of trouble with my lab top so many pop ups

This is day 9 or so. Pest issue is still alive and well. I am considering starting from scratch but I really don’t want to kill this girl. They all deserve a chance right…
I went to home depot and looked at their neem extract, they had it in a liquid and in a powder form and the powder was half the price. I am going to compare that too online and then maybe clear out my DE from all over the place and start a neem dose.

The DE didn’t work…Wow it worked for me. Iem truly sorry it didn’t work for ya

Will

Me too man. No worries though, whether I have to throw my plant into a fire I will kill these things. I also don’t doubt that the DE works. I guess just not for me. I am going to give it a few more days. Theres still bugs crawling in the webs even though I keep bombing it.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if an actual bug bomb would kill these things?? Like eaid or whatever.

Also soeaking of which, can these things breathe under water? If I were to just dunk my plant in a pool for like 10 minutes would they drown?

DE works best on soft shelled critters. Also it works best with many critters in their immature stage or a larva stage, and sprinkling heavily on the soil where many critters lay their eggs and have their larva grow often helps interrupt the life-cycle and prevent new critters from making it to the buds or tops of your plants.

Too bad. I had all sorts of critters, not sure if their shells were hard or soft though.

This is my last update, first off I am moving into a smaller place and I don’t think I will be able to grow anymore so I guess it’s not really all that relevant, but I decided to do something to my plants cause I couldn’t just sit and wait anymore. First off I took it out of my closet and vacuumed the whole thing off which did an awesome job of getting rid of all the webbing and DE that was everywhere. Unfortunately it also did a great job of removing most of the leaves. Then I took it out and hosed what was left of it down. I then watered thoroughly with a water/alcohol mix. After that I pretty much sliced and diced my plant up, even though it’s all stem and put it in my cloning bucket. Not something I really wanted to do but it’s pretty much my only play. I did the same thing with my older plant a day or two after which was dumb I should have done them at the same time but I already have noticed webs coming back.

I really don’t know if these stems will even grow if they get roots but I figured it was worth a shot. I really want to save this plant after everything they have been through.

Will the baking soda and water trick work for the white mold? Also, how often should you spray and in daylight or dark? Thanks.
