All the love! 2 dogs, 3 cats, a uromastyx, a ball python, and 16 chickens (they act like puppies-have grown up being handled). We lost our rabbit and chameleon this winter and our corn snake and 2 sugar gliders over the summer. That’s the downside of having a zoo. Comes with the heartbreak too.

We always try to remember the life we provided the pet when the kids get sad about the loss. One son makes a point to include our pets buried out back in each holiday. He goes out and tells them happy birthday or Merry Christmas. It’s heatbreakingly adorable. We also try to have a puppy in place when we sense the demise of an older pet. It makes the transition easier and I always serm to find a message or trait from the passed pet in the new one. Surely its my perceptions but its still a comforting notion.

Odessa fished with me for 7 yrs.If she had thumbs she’d out fish me no doubt.
She passed suddenly right after I had a radical neck dissection. If fact it was the day after I got home.Im inclined to think she stuck around to see I was going to be ok…She was cremated and we took her ashes to her favorite hiking spot.A big circle thru the woods.I cut a small hole in the corner of the bag and started the hike.I walked the whole trail and the bag emptied where we started.Very emotional moment.
I take my 2 woofers there and it’s almost as if they know she’s there running free.
LIFES BETTER WITH A DOG,or 2.

Had dogs and cats for years then I got allergic to dogs. Eyes swell up hard to breath so when the last pup went over the bridge we just kept cats.

Cats are great watch er… cats. Any noise outside will be investigated and it does not matter that the blinds are closed they are going to look.

I love the dismissive attitude of cats. I do have one that will come when I call about 80% of the time but she likes to show her catness in other ways. When she does not think you are doing the pets correctly she will huff and jump off your lap. She grew up outside in the barn and since inside she is done with outside. I grow her cat grass inside cause she does not go outside to graze.

Misty Kitty. She is the most Standard Templete Construct cat we have ever had.

This is Mr. Gregory Tortilla Chips (what happens when you let a 6 year old name him). Greg’s kind of an a$$hole.

We have 85 lb cane corso named Runty, which evolved into Runtina, and a white lab named Michael Jackson. The two have evolved into Michael Jackson / Tina Turner and then you have a Fatboy Slim song in your head. Greg doesn’t have an asshole photogenic quality. Looks like a cool :cat2:
