Pot size advice

Really haven’t used it long enough to tell if I’ll like it better than FFHF soil. I have one mbap sprout that’s 1 week up and doing great. I had to start another Maui Waui after the first failed to sprout, the second one is struggling they’re all in mother earth coco peat. I’m trying it and advanced nutrients for the first time. Figured I’d try a couple different substrates and feeding methods to see which fits best for me.

I dont give my sprouts anything for few weeks i havent realy had no probs except wondering about lights i use shop lights an DIY stuff im thinking of building a set of lights im maint by trade kinda retired i dont like just buying things premade ,same with dirt lol

Those look great! I have a package of 3 gallon fabric pots that i was considering on using my next grow. Do i need to feed daily in 3 gallons? I understand its not much soil in such a small pot for all the roots so I’m guessing it will need alot of nutrients and micro nutrients plus all the microbes… what do i need to know growing in 3 gallons of dirt to get a big plant, other than the basics?

No difference in feeding with 3 gallon pots Grow Bro, a drench to drought routine will work with liberal run off to keep the root zone healthy and PH in range, once a week dose of beneficial microbes to replace the ones that rinsed away during the run off. I feed daily with coco only :love_you_gesture:

Okay, so not much difference. They probably just dry out qucker, i would imagine. I am considering using the 3 gallon pots because of manageability. I see how this first grow went and how the plants grow now. I see where LST will be most beneficial. It will be easier for me to get the hang of it with smaller plants.

That’s the reason why I didn’t go with coco. Wifey already gives me the side eye on feeding day as is :face_with_peeking_eye::rofl::rofl::joy::sweat_smile::sweat_smile: I think I want to try hydro one day just so I ain’t got to worry about the watering part taking up time but I know there’s another process with it that will probably :person_facepalming:
