PH of marijuana cuttings

A question from a fellow grower:

what do u p h your cuttings at

Cuttings should be rooted in the same pH that all MJ plants love, ideally right around 5.5 - 6.5. As low as 5.4 and as high as 7.0 is usually just fine. There is some evidence that being slightly on the acidic side is best and the closer you can keep it to about 5.8, averaging between 5.4 - 6.2 is best, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it as many many people have had no problem rooting in plain tap water which usually has a pH of 7.0 -8.0

Plants are adaptable. I agree with McG. 7.0 neutral PH is good for all. Slightly acidic is thought to be better. 5.8 - 7.0
I choose this spectrum because, I would use 5.5-5.8 for rockwool placed cuttings. On the other hand I would use a higher PH 6.5-7.0 for plants planned for a soil based medium.

This way the plants would better adapt to their placement.
