I am in week 6 of flower and my municipal tap water pH has gone up to 8.1, it has been fine until today. The products for pH down available locally is phosphoric Acid. If I use this will it affect my girls or is there a better alternative like unfiltered apple cider vinegar (as I have read on this forum) Any suggestions will be appreciated. ---

Lemon juice also works from what I hear. But I’d listen to ^ the pro above me. ---

Citric acid granules work, too. Lemon juice or vinegar are ok (ascorbic & ascetic acid, respectively). I think some people use coffee/coffee grounds, too. ---

PH down works. But for people growing organically and with microbes herds, its kind of shooting urself in the foot before u start the race. The chemicals dont play well at all with microbes. ---

That’s why I was saying lemon juice, but you need to use a good amount. Coffee grounds can work to change ph too. I used to mix coffee grounds in my soil but, meh ---
