Moving right along with the Thursday morning midweek update.
Still fighting the pH which remains stubbornly low with 6 drops per day of pH down seemingly only enough to keep it at 5.5, so today they all got 12, I swear they are eating the stuff!
Apart from that they seem happy enough, broom closet at 940 ppm, so just the pH down for it. Three of the tent totes over 1000 ppm and one under, so another litre of water for those and more pH down for all.
How’s the bulb working out? I’ve bought many packs of these off the zon. Most have a slight dripping when using. I did get some replacement bulbs that had a few hold liquid true in the pipette
It seems a tight fit wasn’t easy to squeeze the bulb end on, though I have yet to use it as my grow is now at the add water and pH correct as needed stage. That said it’s got to be better than the syringes I was using.
Monday morning weekly update, 12 weeks in from seed, broom closet 8 weeks into 12/12 and tent at 6 weeks into 12/12.
Got serious about the low pH situation yesterday and gave them all 20 drops of pH up! Seems to have done the trick all totes at 6+ pH today. All totes at just under 1000 ppm except for two which were a little over 1100, so an extra litre of water for those.
Monday morning weekly update, 13 weeks in from seed, broom closet 9 weeks into 12/12 and tent at 7 weeks into 12/12.
Felt lazy yesterday and didn’t do anything, sure enough pH was down and ppm up, nothing too radical totes at 1050 to 1150 and pH in the low 5’s so more water and pH up to correct.
Lights now at 75% and I will be needing to lower the ppm soon, which I achieve by pumping out 10 litres of nutrients and replace it with pH corrected water.
Usually I stop adding nutrients when it starts going over 1000ppm to 1100ppm, which would have been about three weeks ago, then it’s just a little extra water every other day or so and pH corrections.
I usually use silicon as pH up though this time I kind of overdosed them earlier when I didn’t notice the new silica phosphate I used was 20 times as concentrated, so just using pH up for now.
