if you have a successful HID grow going it is not worth throwing it away to go QB,
but… if that light ever goes out, u have the ‘extra money’, or want a lower electric bill… definitely upgrade to QB.!!

big hoods do throw out light better, but they can only do so much,

Started with a light I built. CFL 960w at the wall. ALL WATTS ARE NOT THE SAME. Limited budget, so I went with MH/HPS because of price and the fact that they have been using them for years. I’m wanting to change my entire set up, when funds allow, to 3 tables for flower. Trying to decide if I want to go LED, or stay HPS
Yes sir, I understand it’s in the middle. I’m just thinking it will enable me to get them a lot closer than 24"-36", thus giving me better penetration.
if u r expanding and need more light, go with HLG Quantum Boards.!!

If you go with the quantum boards, you won’t be disappointed. I’m currently running 640w from the wall to a 5x5 flower tent. Results are pretty awesome.
Next flower run I’m gonna add another 200w for a total of 840w from wall. I’m gonna be revamping the veg area a bit and figure screw it, let’s see what happens!
