Do you do any bud washing at all? @Willd… I had some rot on my last harvest, indoor plants, and I did the lemon juice baking soda wash with the warm hot and ice water baths…
my cat is a Furball I’m constantly picking cat hair off my plants it sucks. its just floating around everywhere. i went threw every bud to make sure they were clean and found 3 seeds one plant must have hermied. out of all only 3seeds thank god. now I have 3 free gold leaf seeds that I think should be feminized. good luck with the harvest.
@Zombo. I had some (5-6 stems) with a touch of powdery mildew in 2015 I “washed” (more like dunked) in a weak hydrogen peroxide solution at harvest before hanging to dry. I had sprayed them with a similar solution in the field to control and eliminate it there at the source but some still had a touch.
Definitely doing it across the board to all of it this time for 3 reasons.
I think I’m going to use peroxide isopropyl and clean well water vs my collected rainwater.
Still need to check for contraindications saying otherwise.
1.) Float any critters off of it.
2.) Kill any that don’t float out or drown
3.) prevent powdery mildew
I’ll bundle them up with twine and swing 'em around my head to spin most of the water off them
II think all my plants outside have finished stretching. 56" and holding on the Cotton Candy Plants
Kiwi Skunk ScrOG
Wow, they are certainly getting there aren’t they! Bodacious! How’s that for a description! @Screwauger
I like that description! @bob31 I am awestruck by the potential if I can keep them going. Largest cola’s I’ve ever grown on those candy plants (and they are filling in nicely!!)
@Screwauger very nice outdoor plants! That should yield plenty! Keep up the awesome gnarly work!
do not want any critters!!! i put one on my list, tks @Screwauger!
@Screwauger Excellent job. You have garnered a lot of useful information here. I am thinking on trying top-fed DWC but I will have to put a system together first.
While your SCRoG looks good, it is the outdoor CC plant that catches my eye. Keep up the good work and Good Luck
MC
Thanks very much @MindlessCorpse

Thanks Brother.
New question for indoor tent growers:
Got home this after noon, tent has been dark since 7:30am. My tent vents outdoors, under the steps. Whoa, got some ripening plant aroma right in my face (outside) for the first time since I started my grow.
Normal given I am 2weeks +/- from harvest??
Carbon Filter tapped out??
I guess I had always known there could be some smell near end of flower. What’s the group’s experience in this phase? Bit of odor? None whatsoever?
I’ve got ona gel and ona spray for when I get into the tent at night, there is def odors (inside) when the negative pressure is upset in the tent.
Thanks @bob31 @Rugar89 @bonnie1 @AnneBonny @NTMAREMACH @Covertgrower @MindlessCorpse @hillbilly103
Dude I don’t get any smell standing right next to my exhaust? How old is filter ?
So you have removable flanges if so you could reverse the filter
Anytime. Be advised they do pull down the rpm’s/cfm’s of the fan. In my case that was needed as with no filter cap, the 240 cfm intake blew the tent up like a balloon lol. Everything draws nicely with that cap on though.
Yes it is the reversible flange model, 4" (so not the lengthiest model) and it’s only been in this grow started in June.
I even took the pre filter off and washed it between veg and flower.
I was pretty surprised to smell the tent so strong outside or right at the vent (even though my backyard is getting pretty stanky).
@Patsbasement thats exactly what i thought and started doing im going to Jimmy rig a space tote…i just bought a mars hydro 300w …how did that grow turn out?
@Screwauger… I had some smells but not strong like what you describe and not outside of my tents, except weed smell. The smell I had was like… I said to myself, that smell is different what is that… lol and it went away in about a week. But you might have something else and I don’t know anything so…
Good luck with that
I get no smell at all from my exaust fan, and mine exits in the room, not outside.
I opened the drying tent this morning and about passed out from the smell! Was about 10x the smell of the other tent with both plants flowering. But until I opened it I couldn’t smell anything.
I’m going to have to look at it when the lights come on. I had been smelling skunky herb in the early a.m. when I went out the side door and now smelling it even at lights off.
Be disappointed if my carbon filter didn’t last the whole grow. Prob flip it around but that aint gonna be easy given the contortions I will be doing to get in there.’
Not really worried about the smell just didn’t think it was supposed to emit odors so thanks for the input.
@Screwauger… there are definitely different smells that go on in different stages… like during flower and at harvest the smell was very strong and sometimes when I opened my tent, a different odor…but not rotten and I never set up my carbon filter and fan. Created my own exhaust in and out and had two oscillating fans & dehumidifier and all my plants were great!..Don’t know again
