Also u dont have to flush just water at 5.8 ph and u will be good.
Thanks for your help. I went all over this damn town and canāt find cal mag. Tomato food is the best I can find that is high in calcium. Iāll have to order some cal mag today.
I have fox farm trio. The last feeding i gave 2 tsp of big bloom and I tsp grow big and 1 tsp epsom salt in 1/2 gal of water. Ph in was 6.6. That was the morning of 7/19. And that 1/2 gal was split between 5 pots. Three 7 gal and two 3 gal pots. So they didnāt get much in each pot.
So should I full feed all of them? Also should I always have the ph at 6? Or just to correct this issue?
Thanks again @Killadruid @Mote
Water as soon as you get a chance, make sure you adjust water PH per @Killadruid 's suggestion. water to run off and test water again, ph & ppm.
Oder the CalMag for sure!
Probably what you should always be aiming for ideally, nutes will affect the ph readings, thatās why youāll want to test ph pretty much all the time till you get the hang of what your water is doing. I dont check my tap anymore since I know it usually comes out at 8 Ā± so I know Iāll always have to adjust it but its nice to know how to adjust it plain & w nutes.
Those 7 gal pots will easily take 1 gallon+ of water each!
the 3 gal pots probably 1/2+ gal of water, each.
Thanks. They have not been getting near that much water. I have well water and out of the tap it has always been at 6.5 to 6.6. Iāve never had to add ph up or down even with nuts. I thought I read that 6.5 to 6.8 was ideal but maybe that wasnāt for soil. Appreciate the help!!
I have both ph up and down so I will adjust it going forward. My other girls are not showing this in the leaves. Just the nla.
Iām sorry, Iāve been reading yours and coriolisās thread (which are somewhat similar, in that theyāer both about pot ;o). youāre in soil, coriolis in coco, ok.
I thought the same thing and I usually shoot for 6.5 ideally. Its great that you have those readings coming out of your tap
Give them all a good watering, ph to 6.5 if necessary (w nutrients!) and let them Drink all they want.
Its very Zen like this whole growing thing, not too much not too little, somewhere in the middle
This is why weāre all here, to learn
Hopefully they wont show any signs if you catch it & nip it in the bud sorta speak
Can I ask do you measure ppm going in? If so what should that be? Or is it more important in the run off? And what should that be? Do I go off the feeding schedule from fox farm? I get confused since that shows week one etc. Iām not sure when to start counting weeks. Sorry for so many questions
Thanks @Mote
Ask away! Its all a bit confusing at first. you can certainly check the ppm of your plain tap water, any numbers that come up in that reading will reflect what ever particles are present in your water.
For instance I check my ppm prior to adding ph up & down, once I add ph up/down the #s will change since ph up/down has its own particulates.
The run off is most important as far as PPM is concerned.
Hereās some info from a book 7 steps to grow cannabis (decent little e book for the price).
Vegetation weeks 2-3 300-400 ppm
Vegetation weeks 4+ 450-700 ppm
Flower weeks 1-4 750-950 ppm
Flower weeks 5+ 1,000-1,600 ppm
Two weeks prior to harvest 100ppm or less.
A lot of different ideas as to when to start counting weeks and so on, hence why its usually best to err on the side of caution if you can.
Soil is different the promix promix is more like coco u want it lower
Oh shit. I just fed her at 6.5
Man I wish I could come help u lol. I would go with fox farm schedule. Also get some cal mag just start with a full feeding with run off and start there 6 should be good for ur ph. Also in veg I try to not have my ppms going in over 1200 but I push my plants hard
Just run over! Lol. In the lakes area. Iām sure you know where that is. Lol
Thatās ok u will just bring it down in 2 days when u give them plain water. If thatās what fox farm calls for Iāll look u pl ur schedule
Yeah thatās a trip lol. I would delete ur local thank u if I head that way Iāll let u know
The others have you covered. Make sure weāre all on the same page as far as which promix youāre using. Some are soilless (and do better around 6.0), others are more of a āpotting mixā and would be better at 6.5.
Thatās like the third or fourth schedule Iāve seen for fox farm, this one is different than the previous ones.
Thanks @Killadruid for keeping us in line w the soil & promix mediums
Nothing is a straight line in this game it seems, as eleheffe pointed out, there are a few different promix soils to begin with. I think a good solid watering even if slightly on the high side on the ph will be hugely beneficial and welcomed.
