I prefer a I dry trim when able. I try to dry in my tent with the exhaust on and keep RH 60-65%. If I don’t have an empty tent then I use my canning closet. The humidity stays around 63 in the closet. I’ve also used my home made dry box a couple times when the tent was busy and I couldn’t have the lovely aroma fill the house. It worked out pretty well.
After a 5-7 day hang, when the small stems bend but don’t break, I move them to paper bags with a hygrometer. I trim once my buds are at the paper bag stage. This way I don’t have to trim all at once. I check them daily if they are getting too moist I hang them back up for a day then back to the bag. I move buds to jars once dry. Not all dry at the same time, smaller buds end up jarred up first. I have jar lids I rigged up with hygrometers.
I burp a few times a day until my humidity stays about 62. Then throw in humidity packs and I burp as needed.
