If I’m dealing with an active Fusarium problem during flower, I’m not going to withhold an effective biological control just to preserve every last bit of mycorrhizal colonization. A theoretical reduction in some AMF activity is a pretty minor tradeoff compared with losing the plant to Fusarium. The goal at that point is to get the plant through harvest.

Trichoderma harzianum is a beneficial fungus too, and the interaction with mycorrhiza have been show to increase Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) root colonization. Clearly it’s not an either or situation.

So both the Grateful Breath and the Tangerine Queen got approximately ½cup of gypsum, a good dose of Alfalfa Meal, and some worm castings tonight and a good soak.

@Budbrother that branch was rubbed just a little on the cage, but the main has some ugliness.
It’s not on any other branches yet.

Also I have removed all that were males. 7 out 16 I’m good with that.

I had something similar happen with one plant a couple years back or so, irrigation system watering her too much for a week when I was away, the rest of the garden did ok though…

Since they got a good soak tonight, then I’d follow up with the B.A. in a root drench tomorrow, morning if possible. The goal is to get the biological competition established in that freshly amended rhizosphere while the conditions are favorable. You just established a fungal and food supply, so tomorrow is a good opportunity to introduce the B.A. for the three pronged approach.
