My mom used to randomly surprise me, but now I know it was her mental health days. She would send me to first period so I didn’t get marked absent for the day. I’d get called to the office, thinking oh 
with a hundred reason id be called there in my mind. Then surprised yet relieved she’d take me fishing. Some of the most surprising and memorable days.

Meant to add that kids ditching school isn’t the same thing, at all, to parents and kids taking quality time/mental health days off, of course. 
Just silliness came to mind. 
Anyway, it’s truly wonderful taking needed time off and also spending it with your kids. They’ll remember and appreciate it always.

My seedlings are struggling, but still alive. Had to replant a few that didn’t have enough will to live.
