So here is a pic of the label on the back of the bag (pic). I’m not going to put it in my reservoir with my nutes. I was wondering if it would be sufficient if i mix 1 gallon of plain water with 1/8 teaspoon of raw silica and feed that per plant once a week? I run 10 gallon pots of promix hp and liquid fertilizers.
Yucca forms better cell walls and helps liquid intake from The Roots moisture access points. (Allowing over all water, liquid nutrients ect better up taking to where the plant needs it)
I use it religiously. I’m not sure I fully understand how effective it would be simply feeding it to your plant once a week in just H2O. I do see that it would be a positive effect to the soil itself.
My somewhat confused opinion is that utilizing this Yucca feed can jeopardize overfeeding with your reservoirs feed??
This would be my only concern. Is there a reason you wouldn’t mix it in your reservoir?
Just for the record I use the same brand as you have pictured. The only thing I do differently is I mix up the Yucca in water so I don’t have to use powder form. I believe this makes mixing much easier.
This is npk raw silica. Not yucca
Silica is great. If still doing lst or training i dont recommend it. Stiffens limbs. I use it from flip to finish myself. Increases trichome production. Assists in protecting from heat. Several benefits.
Well I’m blind. And I apologize.
I also use there silica. My concern would be the same regardless
This is extremely true. I learned the hard way. I started once my training is over as stems and stalks getting incredibly fragile due to their hardness.
I’ve never used silicon dioxide: most of the products out there are Potassium Silicate. Definitely necessary for plant health and for trichome production (the stalks are composed of silica).
Doing hydro you do need to be careful of introducing something into the rez that can cause issues. I know with Silica Blast you have to add to base water first, before anything else. Are you running some kind of gravity feed pot base or are you top-watering?
