Noddykitty’s ‘25 outdoor/greenhouse grow

Red fleshed apple grafts are pushing buds. Yeah. I spilled some blood making those with the grafting knife. Noticed the blood before I felt the cut. Damn sharp razor cuts. Ha

Sweet treat pluerry and the 4 graft pluot tree behind it going all floral.

Pineapple sage flowers. The hummingbirds litteraly arial fight over them.

Thanks Reed, and good morning. It’s only 10:30 on the west coast. Still sipping coffee. Can’t read the funnies thread till I finish or risk spitting coffee.

I should rename my thread fish and plants.
Got some new discus yesterday. A shop is closing and liquidating inventory. 1000$ pair for 200. He knew I could not leave with out buying these fish. In the hot tank getting quarantined. I rotate all my discus thru quarantine every 3-4 months. Hot bath cooks all the parasites. The powder blue turquoise ones are the new ones.

Thanks for the encouraging words. Only garden people here get it. Everyone else thinks I’m crazy. All the stuff I grow.z

Feels weird tossing them. Isolated 62 males the last few days. Most became compost.

The rest have potential. Kept about 20 males.

Draining the rain to the blueberries.
Do not want to waste it. Rain water and soluble nutes.

Blue berries are about to go off too. It’s spring.

Planted in 1980 monster plants. In the creek flood plain. Whenever it rains or snows hard the creek flows over them silting them naturally with fertilizer. This has nothing to do w me. Planted before my time. I just get to enjoy them now.
Trunks.

Jillybean boys pollinating ILGM hindukush and auto afghani.

24” boo-boo. Broke a branch off the ILGM hindukush roughing up the big plant. Stuck it in a grow bag not expecting much. It’s been 3 days and it’s actually standing back up now. It was a limp biscuit the last 2 days. To limp to post a dead branch. I think it’s going to pull thru.

I have the same problem with throwing out things i can re-use. I will plant just about anything just to grow it. I planted 200 or so tiger lillies, 100 or so daffodils, 100’s of irises and probably 20 or so giant sunflowers in my front yard. Beats mowing. :facepunch: :call_me_hand:

This Rasta Jeff table seed is kinda cool. Nonpurp turps but it looks like a purple people eater.

Northern lights:

Old TGA Plushberry:

ILGM hindukush, had another boo-boo. The center split open from the branch weight. It was very dirty. More like a tear and shred on multi axis fractures then the usual split. It seems to be ok though. No drooping. The repair started tearing so I stoped messing. Let it heal.

The rip/split:

Did a bunch of peach grafting today, top worked over 65 root stocks. I did Indian free, Frost, Oregon curl free, and Salish summer peaches.

I also did an apple I traded for across the county. A fruity gromie from MD. It’s a rare crab I have been trying to get called Clark’s Crab.

Northern lights boys:

Jilly bean boys with the hindukush girls and the lone auto afghani.

The rest of sausage party. Tossed 2/3 of the boys in the compost. These I felt like keeping.

Yes, you do.
I was impressed with the dirt that you started the surogate seedlings in.

Thanks for the dirt conditioning lessons.
Working hard to move and condition dirt.
I am actively trying to improve my yard dirt (salty sand, on Whidbey Island).
Need to grow “tomatoes” this summer.
$50/50ft rabbit “restriction” fence. just added to the outdoor grow.
They love to eat anything small, that I transplant.
Mrs. Daisy not fond of eating rabbit and forbids me from going “Elmer Fudd” on them.

Tine to amputate ILGM Hindu Kush. Terrible ripped split top has festered. Week of h202 has not prevailed. The top colas are being sacrificed to save the rest. The split area has gotten moldy too and the two leader branches have gone limp. :sob:

Leader 2:

Happy lower branches:

The dreaded infected tear: pre amputation.
