Noddykitty’s ‘25 outdoor/greenhouse grow

Yes, the one I was building. You sure seem to be in a better place this spring. I am glad your personal problems have settled down. Your grow last year was great.

Norther lights are catching some morning sun. Enjoying life under the sun.

The living soil is doing its thing too. Coffee grounds and rotten leaf mulm getting the hyphae. Filling the pots w the raised bed living soil gets the indigenous microbes in there with their legs running.

Worms keep pushing up castings in my gunnera start container. This plant is known as dinasour food.

Not me, just a stock photo:

My Khaffir lime tree sprout has really grown this last few weeks.

3 stem triplets avocado sprout. They defoliated a tad in the cold snap. They always come back.

My oldest avocado. It’s a mexicola that is 5years old. It has survived a lot of frosts and cold snaps.

This ILGM from @DEEPDIVERDAVE is a beast. It is going to be some big spring buds. It was timed perfect for over growing his tent and catching the 11-13 hour spring sun cycle outdoor here. She is 5’ tall from the bag lip officially.

Another boy sun sexed from the Barry white x diesel seedlings. Still no sex from the same day sprouted norther lights.

@Retiredoldguy, I am curious how long it will take to get that big. They say they grow fast. Hence the nickname dinosaur food. I borrowed my cutting from the zoo display. I wanted one that I knew was coldbhardy. Some of the southern nursery ones don’t transition well to the north. It was pinched off the plant in September.

Almost forgot my sterbae cory cats spawned yesterday. Greenhouse spring spawn. They like it cool to trigger a spawn.

Moms and dads. Group spawners

My avatar fish the taeniatus polongwe, are doing well as parents. Their fry are almost 10 weeks old. Can you spot the camo spotted juvenile colored baby?

Albino Cory babies. 10 weeks old. 1/4” long:

Moms and dads: they go to the greenhouse next to spawn.

I am going to mail you some seeds this weekend. It’s some of the older jillybean seeds and Durban x strawberry cough. They are like 5-6 seasons old. So they may germ slower. Worth the wait. I will bag them separate.

I will also send you some diverdave seeds and some of my fresher stuff. The dj short blueberry x jillybean are very promising. Keep your eyes peeled for a weird birthday or happy st patty’s day greeting card.

Good evening Reed. I had a lovely day.

I spent the day playing with my fruit trees. I uppotted and root trimmed a bunch of my 3 year old apple Franken graft trees. And a couple of my hybrid plum/nectarine trees,
It’s been on the list to do all winter long. It feels so great to finish that up,

I even felt motivated to start some grafting In the last sliver of sunlight this evening. I Got the scion cuts so they could not wait. I did 7 apple graft to a stooled out Elma125 root stock. I sliced 3 of my fingers nicking both hands, slipping in the pouring rain. Tip, do not graft in the twilight with a razor sharp grafting knife I will spare you the bloody finger shots. lol,

So I grafted one pedigree novaMac Apple (northern spy x Macintosh) scion to a fork. Then the rest were red fleshed apples to the other forks. 5 more main branches from this stooled out rootstock. The Lucy (better not say patented) that glows is my favorite. It taste like strawberry infused apples.
To die for. :backhand_index_pointing_left:
They look like this.

3 red fleshed mixed golden/red skinned cuts
2 red fleshed green skinned cuts
1 red fleshed also red skinned cut.

And after all that, the boring grafted clones. Just vision a grafted cannabis plant gromies. It’s exciting stuff.

Willow dog photo bomb. She had her last chemo treatment last Friday. 5 months of chemo to treat her lymphoma. She is a troooer and so full of love. She turned 5 on March 1st.

Stripped down all the lower bush from the ILGM Hindu Kush. Filled half a five gallon bucket full of trims. Flooded it with rain water, yeast, and urine. It will get fed back to the plants with some fish chit water in a couple weeks. When it’s ripe and frothy. Will add some char too. Char char char. Love me some char.
