I started 3 autos 5 days ago. They are Banner, Girl Scout cookies, and Gorilla Glue. All the seed have popped but only 2 actually pushed out the tap root. I planted Banner and it has already taken root. GSC has a root but only about a half centimeter. GG has not pushed out although I can see it (still snug inside the shell) Question…if I go ahead and plant them, will they take or will they just stay inside their shell? Any advice on getting them going is much appreciated. TIA ---

I softened them for 24 hrs in distilled water and then put them in a wet paper towel. Left them undisturbed for 2 more days. 5 days did seem long to me but Ive been afraid to put them to soil. 😒 Ive been hoping the taproot would go ahead and push out. One did but not the other. ---

I’d go ahead and plant if they’ve all cracked. Really the point of pre-germinating the seed is to weed out any duds. I’d think I’d want to take my chances in the soil rather than wait much longer in the paper towel. ---
