Newbie needs Sativa help please!

Hi ILGM Team ! I’m new here I have a 100% Sativa apparently (Durban Poison) in a 40ltr (10 gallon) fabric pot which I have transplanted into about 1 week ago. I’m in the Southern Hemisphere. It is an outdoor grow. Not sure if it’s transplant shock but the lower leaves are yellowing ( they are the older leaves) and there are white dots forming on the leaves and I think the overall colour is not as vibrant as earlier the plant receives nitrogen once a week
In the form of rabbit poo tea ( really good nitrogen content apparently) any help from you legends would be greatly appreciated. Oh and it gets rain water only as well. Here are some pics….

Not sure about the yellowing, but the white dots could be eggs from some critter, top pic shows something munching on your leaves.

Hey Bentstick, thanks for the reply. Yeah I had a caterpillar or two earlier got rid of them but the white dots don’t seem to rub or scratch off so not exactly sure if they are eggs. Seems to have the same dot pattern on quite a few of the other leaves

Well I have no clue I am not much on issues with plants other than damn bugs will call some that are good at it tho, @Low, @Budbrother @Growdoc a few to get insite :+1:

Those small white dots are likely spider mites, but it doesn’t look bad yet. I’d spray them with Jacks Deadbug every 3 days for two weeks, that will clean it up.

Thanks Growdoc,
Have you heard Sativa’s needing more Nitrogen than Indica or hybrids?

I can’t say, I grow Indica and hybrids, but I’ll phone a friend for ya, @Low can you enlightened?

But I thought Sativa need less, but not sure why.

that claim exists, but it is not supported by controlled plant nutrition research.

demand is driven primarily by growth rate determined by strain/pheno, biomass accumulation, light intensity, CO2 level, and developmental stage, not by the indica sativa label.

That’s great thanks Low!
Looking at the above pics… other than
Mite control do you think it needs nutrient help, the plant is 2 months old now

Not knowing your runoff numbers and just from looks, she appears hungry, lighter leaves on bottom indicate nitrogen deficiency.:oncoming_fist:

Yes, my thoughts as well. It’s scheduled for a feed in 2 days I might boost my rabbit poo tea with something
Here is a pic of my hybrid for shits and giggles and a loose comparison it is probably 3 week’s older and on the same rabbit poo tea fertiliser with not a mark on it! Really healthy I think

Just a bit light all over, might need a bit more feed. Rabbit poo won’t burn like chicken. Plants are definitely healthy.

How are you brewing your tea? I don’t know anything about rabbit dung other than it’s hard balls, my sisters had pet relabbits growing up. But I would think that it would take significantly longer to get the good stuff flowing using it.

@Budbrother do you have any input to help a brotha out?

Just in a bucket mixed with rain water overnight approx 1/2 pound of rabbit poo in a 2.5 gallon bucket use the liquid the next day

The new growth is nice and green..
Id say your plant looks great.
As Doc said I’d take care on any bug issue..
Could be a slight Nitrogen deficiency..
I just stay on your feeding schedule and keep an eye on things..
As long as nothing get worse ..
You should be all good..

Happy Growing..

The internet says it’s one of the highest nitrogen concentrations of all animal manure and one thing I read said most available nitrogen takes place after just 3 hrs of steeping the rabbit poo in water. Has anyone heard that? @Low @Bentstick @Growdoc @Budbrother @ScottsBuds

Awesome good to hear thanks !

I asked ai and the answer i got was 24 hours if oxygenated or 3-5 days steeping naturally. Since I’m not familiar with the method was the basis for my question. I’ve only ran worm tea in oxygenated brewer and I did this for 24 hours. But you can look at worm castings and rabbit manure and clearly see they are different, so I thought maybe the process would be longer. Without having tried I’m nott 100% sure so I would wait to see what some others say.
