The light is.”x”d out cause I say someone mention they used a different light, i can’t remember the guys name but the lights I swapped out for SZHLUX 400W LED Grow Light 4×4ft. Just asking if this is good start I will be using 7.5 gal grow bags and fox farm happy frog soil and some extra worms castings mixed in. I also picked up jacks 321 nutes want some recommendations on watering systems to be honest. Check back in a few days thanks all happy to be a part of the growmie community.

No you do not need a different inline fan or anything, what you have will work just fine. An as for fox farms Id get some ocean forest too next time an mix both. Or put half ffof on bottom of pot an ffhf on top you shouldnt need to feed for atleast 2 an a half months. Oh an don’t use jacks 321 id recommend a organic set up with fox farms but that’s just what works for me. Any questions just ask, youll need a couple oscillating fans for inside too

There are several of us running Szhlux lights here, I have a 620 and a 840. I run Promix BX with 50 percent perlite, MC1 or Jacks. I don’t care for FF soil as many have had ph issues with it. There’s folks here that run it and will jump in to help. Welcome aboard the forum, you’ll find it very friendly here with a few rules, we don’t discuss politics or religion in depth and we try to watch the really bad language, there are ladies and youngsters here that dont care for it. Otherwise, I think you’ll find plenty of help and friendships here. I’ll tag you in my journal, there’s coco and Promix grows, as well as some soil outside.

I use jacks with ff soil and have never had any issues. If anything i have issues with low ph of my run-off until the soil gets depleted then when i start feeding things are much more stable.

I’ve been using 400 watts in my 4x4 and have been happy. I’m sure it could be better but it makes me happy

Jacks makes a 20-20-20 balanced feed but the 321 that we use is a specific hydroponic mix with a 5-12-26 and part b 15-0-0 and epsom.

So I get my mix should be ffof on bottom and ffhf on top. How much of the jacks to start with? Do I mix in water then feed that way. Oh and feeding I saw a gravity feeder or wick feeders that the bags sit on any suggestions there? Please avoid charts my head spins with charts but I’m ok with measuring grams, oz, tsp, tbsp etc.

So what is your suggestion then for nutes please anything before I make the error is great. I just read that jacks is forgiving if you mess up. I thought I read the diluted it in there water then fed again this is from a super hazy memory.

That soil blend should get you most of the way through veg if you’re in a 7.5 gallon container-i think i remember thats what you said. But then id start with a 1/2 strength feed when it comes time. Measuring ppm’s of your run-off water will tell you where you’re sitting for nutrients in your soil.
I need to add… It is crucial that you let part a fully dissolve before you add part b

I’m sure someone else here has a better way than mine. And mine is not the best way by any mean it’s the easiest so if anybody else have a better way feel free to chime in. But I use Dr earth dry amendment nutes an probably gonna use fox organic line for bloom. The Dr earth I use a fermented tea of it with fresh aloe an organic honey an worm compost.
That’s a good thing actually. You’ll use it all sooner or later trust me lol
