Newbie grower in trouble

Yep thats pretty low! What is your target PH? Like maybe 6.5 ? Dump a bunch of water in that range through your plants! Repeatedly! Eventually the soil will be in that range.

Got you I will keep it ph’ed at 6.5. I’m also using super soil in my medium 1lbs super soil to every pot to be exact. I started my grow from a YouTube video lol. I guess whatever there doing for theirs isn’t an exact formula for my grow

You definitely want your ph between 6.3 to 6.8 with 6.5 being your sweet spot. Also I probably wouldn’t be spraying them any longer with water. After the seedling stage I discontinue that. You should get a ppm reading on your runoff

If you look at the PH charts for nutrient uptake, it becomes a bit more murky to understand. Some minerals arent available at the optimum PH scale? So why choose the middle? Mostly, I think, its because the big 3, NPK are readily available there and the micro nutrients are less utilized? That’s my guess. I do know that a moderate PH swing in liquid hydro isnt really a bad thing because it allows the plant access to the other nutes that are less available if the ph was always perfect.
In soiless medium Im not too sure yet what is optimum? In a true organic soil its pretty buffered so PH is usually not a big deal unless it is and then your soil needs lime or other treatment.
I rarely have issues with my soil because the outdoor is in decomposed material from years of rotating crops.

Not an expert by any means but it looks like nute burn possibly. Just curious, why use hydro nutes if your growing in soil??? I had the same copper spotting and I had nute lockout. I used FF OF soil, fox farm runs hot…I found from all the pros in here I didn’t need any nutes until way into my veg stage. My ppm’s just dropped 2 weeks into flower. But your in the right place for having your ??? Answered… Welcome to the Club…!!!

A common rookie and impatient mistake. I’m just learning more about the soil. I thought I was doing something right. They were going dry quicker. But I also been testing my solution before feeding and testing my soil and they were reading at good levels. When I started researching the problem. I was thinking I’m messing up somewhere and though I could fix it my using my nutes :man_facepalming:t6: Lesson learned
I’m happy I came to the right place for advice for sure
