What does this look like? Is this a pH problem maybe? I know last time I watered my runoff pH was off a little and I’m still at like 2,000 ppms from the ffof. Y’all see the way the leaves are looking weird?

I don’t. I usually focus on color. If its good I dont worry. Ive had some leaves do weird twisty stuff.

So I just picked up this little add-on light from Good Old marketplace and I’m just wondering what I could say it’s equivalent to with its 86 Watts, how many watts do you think this pulls from the wall? I was just going to throw this in my vets closet with my other 90 w light but I’m just wondering the potential of this light. @dbrn32

It probably consumes around the 86 watts that is listed if running at full power.

All right so I was cleaning the light off with some alcohol and I was about to take some q-tips and get up in the grooves it’s real dirty in there but then I noticed under the glass there is all kinds of trash in there and I took the loop and tried to observe and it’s about 50 different looking things so now I’m spooking about bugs so I took the light and put it in a trash bag with a no pest strip inside a container with a lid. Can I have some thoughts on this please? @dbrn32 @Fieldofdreams @SausageMahoney @Lostgirl @DanB @Jdash860 @merlin44

Looks like dust and bug parts. Get some laptop spray or light compressed air if you can.

Hard to say if there is bugs in there or not from here. You’re going to get some dust and dirt in them over time, and who knows what from the factory it was assembled. If it was my light I probably wouldn’t worry about it. But you could probably check to see how easy the lens would come off and blow it out or something.

I would have to agree with both @SausageMahoney and @dbrn32 can’t really tell looks mostly like dust could see about taking lenses off and cleaning.

If you turned it on and it got hot it’d probably kill any critters who may be nested up in there. Is the light new or second hand?

I 2nd what sausage said grab u some air cleaner for a computer give it a good blast @Jayjay504 putting it in the bag w that pest strip tho was a good idea:+1:t4:. I need to get me some sticky traps been struggling with little black gnats myself

@Jdash860 all right so I’m guessing it’s not as bad as I thought. I got it second hand on the back ballast side in between every groove looks like a million hairs like human pubic hairs LOL and they’re like cakes into the back of it. And that’s when I noticed all the specs under the lens side. I don’t know if I could take it off but I guess I’ll just let it sit in here with this no pest strip till tomorrow or something and try to get it clean. Yeah fungus nats are taking over. The four frogs I put in my veg closet didn’t even make it a day LOL the two big ones straight up died like lost all their life I don’t understand how maybe that’s a sign I don’t have enough CO2 in there when the door is closed but I also had two baby frogs in there and never seen them again maybe the big frogs ate them I don’t know

where did you even obtain them frogs at didn’t seem like a bad idea I bet they helped with the gnats a little before going m.i.a. And dying off

If you didn’t have any area set for them to get water they died from drying out. They are amphibious. Next time you add frogs make a small area for them to get wet in and hide.

So I just redid the room and got rid of the long wire shelf that I had all the plants on and now I think I have a better method from when I water I could catch my runoff better you know but we will see how it goes but here is some pictures of everything y’all will be able to see the growth in the plants, everything is flowering and doing okay. Except for the main manifold one keeps losing lease at the bottom, they turn yellow or crisp up and die, not sure what that is yet. But here it is grow Bros
