All the beams popped and are above soil. I just used zip lock bags over them to create humidity. Now that they are above ground is it ok to take the zip lock bags off them? And I was curious to what height everyone keeps there lights at in the beginning stages. I keep seeing 18in and 24inches, I have my light at 50% and just dont want to cook the lil ladies. I use Mh/Hps 1000 watt at 30” unless they stretch too much. Then lower till it stops. and 50% power.
And as far as the domes. If you can keep your humidity at 70 to 80% then you don’t need the domes. I have to use them.

Kinda odd my humidity is usually around 35-50 through all stages. 
No misting no domes. I do use a humidifier for drying though.

I utilize DLI. I don’t go by height I usually use around 15 dli for that stage and slowly up it to 45 by end of veg. Then up to 60-70 for stretch and first 5 weeks or so of flower before I start to back off.

I would go with @Low ‘s advice. Definitely a more experienced grower and I’m still tring to get my system figured out.

I’ll start my lights dimmed all the way at 24” above my seedlings, then I’ll let them grow to 15” from the light. At that point I adjust the light to maintain that 15”
Play around with keeping the bags off of them if your humidity is decent. I don’t dome mine at all these days

I only use domes until the first set of real leaves but only because our RH is usually around 15-19%

Oh hell no! I’m in the south. 15%rh should suck the water out of a glass in minutes. Some days where I live you could fill an empty glass with condensation in minuets! LOL

I’m from Mississippi in the heart and soul of the delta and we never see low humidity 60% is low here. But I lived in Sierra Vista Az for a minute and I can relate.

I used domes on old seeds that I had a hard time getting to sprout and grow. I may have had one out of twenty that actually amounted to something. It was not worth the aggravation. I know seeds are expensive but I believe if you start out with good new seeds you will have much better luck throughout the entire grow.
